Aye JimmyHACK, it is lots and lots of fun. I can't wait for it to come out stateside, I have the demo and it's more fun than a barrel of monkies. More fun than anything I've played on the DS so far too.

Mariokart was fun and all, but it got old. And Phoenix Wright regrettably had to end...

I wonder what's taking so long to go stateside. They could pretty much use the UK translation with minimal tweaks for the US release. I am probably going to have to import this one. But, if the small segment of US PSP users who are interested in this game all do it, we may end up putting a dent in local sales. Then sony wouldn't bring games like this over and then .... aaarrrggghhhhh. Headache.

I'm dying for this game to come out here. I played my friends demo copy, and I was instantly hooked. I'm hoping this is a sign of a lot of great games for PSP.

It finally happens and all you get a game for a movie player that barely anyone owns.

Think the BBC may have said it first or possibly The (Manchester) Guardian, that this is the best game Nintendo never made. Sounds cliché but it's spot on and possibly the PSP's saving grace.

9. Croz, OK Nintendo should get credit for things in the past which I am not going to bother list but come on some people need to get this through this game Nintendo gets no credit for, it will not come out on the DS as much as people want, the touch screen will not make it play any better but the Wiimote or Dualshake possibly will but it is a 1st party game so why can't Sony get any credit for it and minus you are a retard.

Shame that I have my PSP and all games & accessories up for sale. I really liked the Japanese demo too but it doesn't justify keeping a $200 brick on my desk for the next couple of months.

It's funny how they say Sony has finally done something right when Sony does not even make games. And aren't majority of DS games also ports?? I own a DS and I'm pretty sure I play Mario Kart, Kirby, Tetris, Animal Crossing on the home consoles; didnt all the Nintendos have Mario Kart?? Meteos I know I saw on Addictinggames.com as a flash game four years ago, I'm not gonna pay for something I can play for free on my PSP since it is Flash enabled.

Ain't the maker of this game the same maker of Katamari?? I'm not sure; does he work for Sony?? I'm pretty sure he does not.

It's great that FF III is coming out for DS, Im gonna get it for my DS since most DS games are pretty much mini games and don't last that long except AC:WW (by which I'm still playing). But FFVII: Crisis Core is coming out for PSP too! That for sure I can't wait!

I've been playing an imported version and man is it fun as heck (hooray for devhook, no more updating!).. at least for the first 30 minutes, the idea of it is amazing, all my friends are "wow!", but once that 30 minutes rubs off, you're starting the second world to realize the levels feel the same despite the differences. Getting a different roco (or is it a loco, i have no idea) is fine time to time, but the icy levels or the being-eaten-by-a-monster-and-finding-way-through levels just feel the same world to world, yes different layout but still the same content loses its eye appeal. Even after playing the levels, it doesn't become too hard to find everything 100%, just bounce into straight walls, or try to find indents where the level could become a secret area.

The controls were meant for someone new to the game to be able to get to world 3-4 with some ease, once one has mastered these controls anything is possible in that game, because it has to allow for some margin of error, just tilting the screen can't be expected to be done terribly precise, if anyone can understand what I saying, you can't expect this game to be for gods only when it's directed towards a younger audience (yet boy has it brought way more than that to it).

Locoroco was created by an internal SCEI (Sony Computer Entertainment Inc) studio. The main game designer also worked on the critically acclaimed Ico as a scenario planner and other things.

Sony has a umbrella corporation called Sony Worldwide Studios managing a collection of different game studios. Including the developers who made Jak n Daxter, Killzone, Getaway, Singstar, Eyetoy, God of War, Ico, Gran Turismo, Primal, Wipeout, Formula 1, This is Football (World Tour Soccer) and others.

Sony makes a lot of games.

@ 15:

(1) Sony does make it's own games. Ever heard of SCEJ, SCEA, SCEE? They publish AND develop games (just like Jocke pointed out.)

(2) Kirby on the DS is NOT a port. Sure it's the same character but that is NOT what a port is. I don't seem to remember the other Kirby games using a touch screen in order to play it.

That's such a stupid claim, that I'm a Sony fanboy! If I was wouldnt I know more about Sony? Why would I have a DS Lite and know that the only long game DS has is AC:WW? Okay you may have defended Kirby, now defend Mario Kart with the touch screen pretty much useless other than to change the map view?

I don't need to defend it b/c EVERY game on the DS doesn't need to use the touch screen. The touch screen is just another option for developers to use. It's not required and not every game will have a use for it. Plus if a game doesn't use the touch screen it doesn't mean it is any less fun or crippled.

A "long game" is a matter of opinion but even with that there are more games then just Animal Crossing that are a pretty decent length.

http://ds.ign.com/index/reviews.html

Anyways...you still look pretty foolish for making a claim that Sony doesn't develop it's own games.

Ignorance must be bliss for you...

And being an idiot must be yours,

I didn't say every game I asked Mario Kart and I'm pretty sure that one game. You say it's foolish for claiming that Sony does not make games, obviously I don't have much knowledge about Sony but you state I'm a ignorance Sony Fanboy..... umm okay.

So b/c me (and quite a few other people commenting on this story) know that Sony is also a developer...makes us a fanboy.

How about this...maybe you should also consider that I WORK IN THE GAME INDUSTRY. People that work in an industry tend to know MORE then people like you.

See if you can comprehend that one.

Why don't I consider that you ask? Well let's see, based on how easily I can BS what I say and not having to prove it, I'm pretty sure that can apply to you too. I'm also a game designer! Including designing cars, what models wear... ooh wait no I'm the one that put oil on only the female models bodies. HAHAHAHA

Also, b/c I'm such a fanboy??!? I use to own a DS/PSP but I realize how lame the games are so I traded in my DS/PSP for a DS/PSP. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Oh yeah, also I didn't call you a fanboy; you called me a fanboy and I rejected the label you have given me of "Jamesology: The typical ignornat Sony fanboy" and supported why I'm not. Can you pls tell me where I called you a fanboy? I don't recall these claims you make.

i must say, the demo is much better than i possably imagined; and im assuming that the actual game is better than the demo. this game alone could take a small (i stress SMALL) chunk of the handheld market away from nintendo by itself (especially in Japan; games like this seem very popular there). im not saying that PSP will suddenly start winning the war; but a few more games for PSP of this quality... and who knows? Socom Fireteam Bravo 2 holds another glimmer of hope.
