The Space Invaders rug
Though you can't really play the rug as pictured here, confirmed by BoingBoing, this Space Invaders rug by Polish artist Janek Simon is still pretty cool. The work is called Carpet Invaders and is a perfect fit for any high-class collecting retro gamer with money to spend.[Thanks, Andy]

Note the update on the site:
"Update: LA Martin sends the disappointing news that this isn't real -- merely a graphic of a potential rug. What a bummer. -- BoingBoing"
It does not actually exist!

Or, if you do the research you will see it actually IS playable in a manner of speaking.

I cant believe they had the cash for the LCD projector and development time but they couldn't sport the cash for a wireless controller?

In response to Shagi's comment, this looks like an art school project so they probably just borrowed the projector from the school, and the development for Space Invaders is probably pretty freakin's simple.
