I'll definitely be on the lookout for a Next-Gen Tomb Raider that isn't hampered by the necessity of a current gen release. Don't get me wrong, I thought it looked decent and played well but could've been even better than it was on the 360.

Well, they also need to work on their "rope edge detection" -- "I said, grab the stupid rope, not jump to your death!!!"

This talk of cake is making me hungry. Lucky for me, it is now lunch time.

Speaking of my impending satisfaction of the animal need to consume, with all that extra bread SCi might be able to treat a few more perspective employees to lunch. Hopefully they can use the funds to improve on their design of the Hitman series, and maybe afford to do a little more innovation. (maybe on the Wii…?)

Good to hear. Blood Money is one of my top games of the year so far - I really appreciate the attention to detail, the humour, the level design....yeah, good job to IO Interactive.

Actually this is un-great because now we'll see another 5 years of Tomb Raider and Hitman sequels and ripoffs that do little to nothing in growing their respective genres and are generally cash cow products anyway.

#7: The Wii-mote and nunchaku would be perfect for some Hitman-style choking :-)

My reasoning why these sold so well is because the 360 game library increases with only a game or two every month. In my opinion, people are forced out of boredom to buy these games. Tomb Raider had really clunky controls, but beautiful environments. Same with Hitman. Really mediocre games that got recognition because of a small 360 library. We only have to wait a few weeks for Dead Rising and a few more months for Gears of War, that's when i think the 360 will really take charge.

Tomb Raider was fun, primarilly beacuse they put tombs back in the game. Let this be a lesson , NO MORE WAREHOUSE/SEWER/SKYSCRAPER excuses for tombs Eidos and the game will continue to sell.

Bloodmoney? Meh, I don't like that kind of repetetive learn to succeed gameplay.

In other news software pirates blame excess sales for not getting blamed for lack of sales.

Now that you have a ton of money, hurry up and make a true sequel to Carmageddon! (TDR2000 = suck!)

I don't think it matters how the games sold well, other than the fact that they, y'know... sold well.

In an industry as competitive as video gaming, anything is better than nothing, no matter how decent the game actually is.

Here is my question to every one. I always here how it costs several million to make a good game now days. So I am doing the math something like this. Suppose (just suppose) everyone bought this game from some asian website for $40 a piece.

Tomb Raider
2,900,000 copies times $40 equals $116,000,000

Hitman
1,500,000 copies times $40 equals $60,000,000

Now I realize that game publishers do not make all the profit, but not everybody bought the game for $40 either. So why are these game publishers crying poverty and how they are not making any money. Even if the game cost $10 million to make they are making quite a nice chuck of change. And it begs that point that the used game market is not killing the gaming industry.
