The new guns and armor are kinda cool. The problem I've been having is I have almost all the parts and am not seeing a huge difference between them. There's no really dominate weapon, making all the parts just blend together. Add that to long waits between rounds while everyone gets ready and a war that it seems impossible to make a difference in, and I'm getting tired of the game after a week.

I don't know why this game is getting bad reviews. It's pretty good and the persistent war is nice. The game looks great and it's fun customizing your mech to be different from others online.

I love this game and I don't think you'd want any gun/part to dominate... then everybody would be using it, therefore negating all the other 600 parts. And then the tactics would all be the same too, so if a sniper rifle is super powerful then everybody is gonna snipe from a distant and how boring is that.

Maybe try some new tactics/builds if what you got ain't exciting you... like a pile rushing scout or something

When do we get the update that makes the game fun? I pity anyone who bought this thinking they were getting MechAssault 3.

A lot of people probably picked it up thinking it was MechAssault 3... especially since it says that on the cover.

Re: MechAssult -- some people don't want a game with 'Mechs' that run around like weasels on crack. What we need is a real console MechWarrior along the lines of Mercenaries, but with online along the lines of what Chromehounds has.

The pace of Chromehounds is great, as is the mech builder is terrific. The single player mission design is terrible, the interface is mildly broiken, the AI is beyond braindead, but the overall presentation is not too bad for something someone obviously whipped up on a slow thursday afternoon. There's defiately about 85% of a really solid mech game in there. And 15% of a virtually unplayabe one. Still addicted, but frustrated.

this is the closest thing we get to Steel Battalion which is pretty close. i miss the strafe move it had & being able to knock a mech over, but other then that i like it. good balance between sim & something to get new people interested in w/o overloading them with sim stuff.--thank god it's no mech assault. that'd be boring with no tactics. (wish i could use the $150 SB controller for this game).

agree with jellodyne bout the sp missions. on 6th mission from from first category & they don't explain obj.s very well. 'destroy base' : i freakin' used all my ammo trying to destroy & keep failin' the mission. (end rant)

The game's great, but I knew not to expect a twitch action shootem-up when I bought it. People have cried about the slow movement of the mechs, but it makes things more intersting from a tactical standpoint. The different Role Types and Hound customization is awesome and unlocking and purchasing new parts is a nice element. If they tried to make it too much like a sim, it would suck.

Yeah the inferface is pretty bad, nothing they couldn't fix with a patch... I hope they make one, cause i think i'll be playing alot of this game.

I think that people complaining that it's "too slow" should go play a FPS. They are the same people who bought GRAW and complained it was too slow, completely missing the "tactical shooter" part of the marketing line. Chromehounds is no Mech Assault, and I'm thankful for that. Mech Assault was a fast-paces, dull FPS packed in a shiny metal shell.

I like this game because it's not Mechwarrior. The mech series just felt like another FPS and the mechs behaved more like humans than mechs in the way thay moved and 'felt'.

The parts are incredably balanced and there is a huge drive to experiment.

However they need to sort out the game type on the war and also get the number of players able to play a game up to 6 v 6.

The online options however are the best yet in terms of Xbox games. It's what Battlefield 2 should have been.
