One of the first franchises to bring online gaming to the PS2 is set to make another showing on the Playstation Portable in ATV Offroad Fury Pro. I gotta say, I'm pretty excited about it, because this franchise has continued to get better and better, and they're just damn fun. The game, which is scheduled to be released Oct. 17, includes some features its PS2 brother does not in the form of "unique race modes, vehicle classes, Legend tracks and much more"
Also, IGN confirms this game, unlike others before it, was built with the PSP in mind, and is not a port from the PS2. They say Pro has great graphics and the PSP does a handsome job at processing the huge tracks.
In addition to kicking up dirt with ATVs, players will also have the ability to use MX bikes, buggies and trophy trucks. The game will also contain "Greatest Hits," which are a collection of tracks from games past and will have PS2/PSP connectivity to allow players to unlock certain tracks and transfer custom tracks.
It looks like Climax Studios is building another winner with ATV Offroad Fury Pro.
