If Bethesda could develop a handheld Elder Scrolls game that didn’t run like that crappy N-Gage version, I would be all over it.

Oblivion is one of the greatest RPGs I’ve ever played, and to get get a portable version would be absolutely great. I just don’t see how they can cram everything from Oblivion onto that little UMD.

OK, but obviously wont have the same graphical prowess as the xb360 version! Still, I've played abit of the game, and its quite immersive. If this PSP-version really does capture that essence, it should be a great success. Here's hoping it comes true!

You are all seriously deluded. If Oblivion does in fact come to the PSP it would have to be A) ridiculously watered down to the point of making it not worth it or B) an encyclopedic collection of UMDs requiring an official Oblivion rucksack just to tote around. My PSP can barely load GTA LCS in an acceptable time frame and you think it might be able to handle an Oblivion knock-off worth owning? Are you all that starved for news justifying your purchase? For shame PSP fanboys, for shame.

To Jonny 5:

I'm extremely surprised Bethesda was able to fit Oblivion on one DVD. I'm sure, if this story holds any truth, Bethesda could come up with something acceptable on a UMD.

But I'm not holding my breath on this one.

To Chris:

I agree that Bethesda could come up with something "acceptable". Just "acceptable" is unacceptable. If Bethesda wants to put Oblivion on the Playstation 1.5...er...the PSP, that's all fine and dandy. All I'm saying is that it's gonna require a helluva lot of compensation and compromise or an empty tomb caliber miracle to make it work.

Jonny 4 - your DS is calling... Or should we call it the GBA 1.5?

GTA loads fine - plays fine (except for control and screen refresh issues). So what if maybe it has to be two discs?

Another DS fanboy (or is that GBA 1.5 fanboy?) out to crap on any good news for the PSP. Just like the whiners re: HL2 announcement.

Jesus, can you guys find something else to do than shit on the PSP every time there's a new game announced? What was imperfect about GTA wasn't load times or that they couldn't fit the game on one UMD. I see no reason why they can't put a good edition of ES:O in the PSP.

That is, unless they need permission from the PSP haters, first.

Hell A UMD can hold both Morrowind and one of it's expansion packs, at about 1.6 GB
Morrowind= 800MB
Both Expantions=around 600 to 700MB

"Rumor: Oblivion is, in fact, coming to PSP"

Wait a second. If something has been established as fact, how can it still be a rumor?
