This game is one of the best RTS games available. The Warhammer 40K franchise is what Starcraft was based off of.
If you haven't played any of these and you like a good RTS, definitely pick it up. It is 100% solid.

HAHAHAHAHA!
The NEcron and the Tau are no match for the might of the immortal EMPEROR!

Yeah it would be totally solid if they added in the Tyranids. The storyline for the Tyranids is absolutly perfect for an RTS, they are pretty much like the Zerg if you want to compare to starcraft. I have heard though, that the problem is the Zerg are not humanoid, therefore makeing the models for them is a bit trickier. They are also a lot more diverse. They differ in size so drastically and some of the units are just a trio of slugs that work together (Ripper swams). Then you got some units that don't even have legs (ravaners) and others that would semi-cloak with the surroundings (lictors).
Having a game based around humanoid creatures is easy. They got 2 arms, 2 legs and a head...thats it. Tyranids all have 6 limbs. Sometimes 4 are arms and 2 are legs, sometimes all 6 are arms and they slither along like Hydralisks. I just hope they do another whole expansion dedicated to the immense storyline that the tyranids have accomplished in the warhammer 40k universe.

I read an interview with Relic where they acknowledged that everyone was asking for the tyranids to be included, but they said that the problem was that they relied almost exclusively on melee attacks, and the DoW engine didn't handle that sort of thing too well (swarming would have been a problem), which would have made the game difficult to balance. I don't think the size of the units has much to do with it, look at the size difference between an imperial guardsman and a baneblade.
Really looking forward to Dark Crusade, even without tyranids, though.
