Final Fantasy back on AOL radio
After much demand, the Final Fantasy AOL Radio station has returned. The station plays a constant rotation of Final Fantasy music from almost every title in the series. In the playlist of the last fifty songs played, sent over by AOL Radio's Scott Sheff, songs from Final Fantasies I-X, Tactics, and even The Spirits Within movie were all represented. Sheff promises that "literally hundreds" of songs are in rotation. The Final Fantasy radio station was originally on air from November 2003 until April 2004, but AOL Radio only had limited rights and did not renew their contract, according to Sheff. The listener feedback station received hundreds of e-mails demanding its return, to which AOL Radio has now complied.

I second that response Anthony.
Plus I have just about every Final Fantasy soundtrack so I don't need no stinking radio station. lol

God forbid they should put some better video game music on a live, streaming radio station.

Then what exactly is "good" video game music according to you then? Nobuo Uematsu is probably one of the most well known and respected composers in the game industry.

Judge Ito: Try Gaming FM -- four streams to choose from, plus they take requests! http://www.gamingfm.com
GSI: Well, Yasunori Mitsuda, Hitoshi Sakimoto (another Final Fantasy composer), and Hideki Naganuma are some other great game composers... and there's many more where they came from.
(Disclaimer: I like Nobuo as well, and have a number of his soundtracks)

I know but he (Ito) made it seem like music from FF was crap. I would love to see his argument as to if it was crap then why were there 2 concerts in California with nothing but Final Fantasy music AND it had people of all ages attending it. (I was at both.)

Its kinda cool. Though I have the songs at home I won't use it. But for those who haven't, it pretty cool. But you have to install some programs... and AOL... s*cks... :)

To add to the list of good sites check out OCRemix that features high quality fan submitted remixes (not just of FF but the gaming world as a whole).

They also have streams of the music at ormgas.

Hooray for FF Radio! I had thought it lasted longer than April 2004 because I remember listening to it the summer after that. Ah well. Good to see the number of soundtracks has increased. Last time it seemed limited to Final Fantasy VII thru X. And is that the Black Mages I hear? Niice.

I've listened to it some tonight and I think it's awesome.
