I hate shit like that. It's not funny. If you're going to conduct durability tests, at least do it in an intelligent and scientific manor.

XD wow, this clip is awesome. It's such a great metaphor for the utter fall of G4. Methinks Kevin isn't a Nintendo fanboy.

WTF IS THAT?!...to hell with you kevin pereira...if u still want any nintendo fans to watch your shitty show, then you'll have to do the same to a f*ckin PSP, better yet..as many of them as you can get ur disgusting hands on

Way to overreact, people. He should be fired? For doing what he's payed for?
Still doesn't make G4 any more watchable.

I am not a nintendo fanboy but I can still say that no normal gamer would even attempt to bend the screen back all the way or jump on it or bite it.

that guy is an idiot, an idiot who should be fired.

I dare you to try that with a PSP jackass.

I called NoA today about my hinge starting to crack, since its about halfway cracked now... They're fixing it for free, and paying for the shipping.

braulio,

It's probably comments like yours that made him do something like that. "IT'S THE BEST PORTABLE SYSTEM EVAR! DESTROY AS MANY PSP'S AS POSSIBLE!" Good stuff, this is cracking me up.

I don't know, personally I thought the part with the DS gamers crying out in pain was pretty clever and funny :).

And believe me, I'm one of the biggest Nintendo fans you will ever find.

Lighten up people!

I thought it was funny then and watching the reaction here makes it funnier still.

Perhaps a rumor that the PSP battery will explode if stuffed down one's pants is called for, just to see what Kevin will get up to next.

Hahahaha. This reminds me of my only fond memory of G4. On G4 they can't just report news on games and give an impression. They have to take it too far like the kid who always adds "your mom" to everything. I remember back when some G4 show did a review on Guitar Hero they were completely incapable of just giving a review to the game and absolutely had to smash their guitars on the ground. But of course they were weakling nerds and it took them several swings to do any noticeable damage and finally had to result to stepping and stomping on their toy guitars to finally break them. Then good ole KP here is completely incapable of doing any real damage to his DS lite sans tearing up the hing without stepping on it. What a little weakling! Give me a free DS Lite and I'll rip it in half like a phone book and show little KP how to get your "my daddy touched me" angst on.

Doesn't he know that the "click" is to make sure that both screens are level? It doesn't mean that the hinge is broken.

What I do find funny though, is that even after the hinge broke, the two halves were still intact.

I bet that it would still turn on too.

As if I needed a reminder for why I never watch that channel. It just mystifies me that someone could look at those show scripts and say "yeah, this is good." Star Wars: Episode 3's acting is better than that.

well... he's kind of making a point on how only 1 out of every 5000 DS hinges are defective, and people were complaining that nintendo wasn't doing anything... i think he's kind of joking? as in, dont take him seriously? I dont know, maybe that's just me...

Whatever... I dont even have cable, let alone satellite... G4 isnt something i spend a lot of time thinking about...

I don't know what's worse - that some prick can smash up a piece of kit like that, or that people like braulio think it's funny...

Can't we just export all of these people to Antartica?

People people, this was a joke. He was being sarcastic. That guy is a big supporter of Nintendo and he's making fun of anyone who would think a tiny crack in the hinge of a DS Lite has much if anything to do with the overall quality of the product or any Nintendo product. He KNOWS it's not a big issue and he KNOWS it will be quickly and easily resolved by Nintendo. He's making a joke.

The best part about the entire thing is that later in the show he turned it on and it still worked fine.

Kevin P. is ok but I wish Kevin Rose was back.

That takes guts.

I always find it funny when people do senselessly violent things.
And I love the DS.

This was just a very poorly scripted joke. The only thing worse than the guy's performance was the woman's. Holy shit is she useless.

you know it -could- be that he was mocking the over reaction of internet people to the tiny little crack with hyperbole... otherwise the joke just doesn't make any sense... really either way makes sense for that show's writers >_>

Did you guys not see that elbow drop? I personally love Kevin Pereira, and I'm also a Nintendo fanbody. And shockingly enough, I used to be a huge TechTV fan. Much like every other TechTV fan, I despised G4. I still don't watch it much, but Attack of the Show isn't that bad. It's TV guys, get over it.

(But yes, I wish I could have had that Lite.)

Over the years tech tv has gone from good to just plain crap. I remember when there were actual great shows to watch, now all you see is Kevins retarded face and other boring shows like star crap, etc... oh well tv just tends to hypnotize people blah blah..
