Last week, GWN created headlines across the internet and made PSP fanboys cry out in horror when they published an article about the PSP's early demise. This week, they're going full circle and saying the PSP, with the help of LocoRoco and games like it, may be okay afterall.
Their reasoning for this - LocoRoco has "tons of mainstream positive hype. Not only that but in Japan according to reports Sony has activated its full PR machine to get the word out about the game." But just as soon as they build up a PSP fanboy's hope, they tear it down again with those nasty facts about UMD sales figures and rumors of Sony porting LocoRoco to the PS2.
There's no denying LocoRoco's early success as it debuted at the seventh spot this week in Japan's top-10 best-selling games list or GWN trying to ride the wave of their recent e-fame to the bitter end. Truth be told, the PSP is just hitting its stride, and people need to realize this. Great games, new features and PS1 emulated games are on the horizon, and the PSP Greatest Hits are already here. The PSP will be okay.
