May they use the extra time to turn Phantom Hourglass into the DS Four Swords iteration that we all know we want.

Seriously. Four Swords DS. I want it. Like, now.

Thank goodness. I was afraid I'd be totally swamped this Fall already, at least now I know some of it is trickling into early 2007.

If Twilight Princess for the Wii is a release title, and Twilight Princess is being released for the Wii and DS on the same day, then announcing the release date for Twilight Princess would give away the release date for the Wii...

At least now the Kirby game has a name other than "Kirby". Not that "Squeak Squad" is that much better.

Yeah, I'm still trying to get copies of Phoenix Wright and Trauma Center, which has been so lacking in success that I cry at night. Profusely.

I thought the Pokemon Rescue Dungeons were coming out in Dec, too? :(

SuperChuck, no.

This is actually good news to me. Gonna have way too much on my plate this fall and holiday season. I'll probably be scrambling to finish Enchanted Arms immediately before Wii launch and after that, forget it. Nintendo is too smart to release Phantom Hourglass in 06. My guess is March 07.

Yes. No Phantom Hourglass this year. You know, Gamestop/EB Games have had the game listed as a March '07 release for weeks now. But you know, they can't be trusted. No sir. They just make those dates up. Out of thin air, I say!

Let's be honest. This would look like complete shit if PSP didn't have 2 titles worth buying this year.

@ SuperChuck

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Keep in mind that this is just the Nintendo list. There are some third party titles I'll be picking up too so Zelda in 07 isn't that big of a deal. Especially since I'll be playing the Wii version anyways.
There's going to be a lot of gaming to be had at the end of the year.

In regards to the "tease" mentioned in the press release, I get a different result from reading it. It says the release date might be hidden within the text of this press release.

Well, the only date contained WITHIN the text is November 6th. That is the release date. No doubt.

November 6th, November 6th, November 6th.

Certain Nintendophiles might not want to accept this date, but it is the “most likely” release date.

*Side Note: This is the same date that was printed earlier in the Sports Illustrated for Kids magazine (coincidence? I think not).

Children of Mana is a good looking game, plus its based on the Seiken Densetsu (Secret of Mana) series. Good thing about the DS is that its like getting brand new SNES games. :)

Well, this sucks. I was hoping to get FFVI Advance sometime in the next two months, but I guess they'll release FFV Advance first.

I'm not knocking FFV, but I still own my SNES copy of FFIII (FFVI), in its box. And I want to play it again soon. Oh well. Gives me more time to save up to buy it...

"I thought the Pokemon Rescue Dungeons were coming out in Dec, too?"

Per Nintendo.com, that'll be September 18. And before anyone else asks, Ranger has no release date yet (though Wikipedia has a listed release of 10/30).

Nintendo still has Phantom Hourglass as Q4 2006 release date on its official media site.

Do NOT bank on this being a 2007 release people (c'mon Joystiq, you know better than that). I wouldn't be surprised if it is the same release date as Wii (imagine having a brand new Zelda game available for Nintendo's new systems - get people in buying a Wii, and they may just pick up a DS as well, or vice versa). Also don't forget about all the connectivity DS and Wii are supposed to have (which I personally think is the final big 'secret' Nintendo has for us).
