Joystiq tipster Ryan writes: "I was at a truck stop diner at 2AM a week or so ago, and when I got my order of onion rings, I realized it was just calling for a picture."

Ebay time! -- It'll go along great with the virgin mary toast and the Ghost in a jar.
Seriously though, looks like he bent the onion ring to make it look like pacman. :P

I think that at least 7 people will respond with "this isn't news" or something similar.
2 more will ask you guys to stop bagging on the ps3.
and at least one will spam their own crappy site.

Don't forget the 5 people that will say how it would be better on the Wii
Revolution @ Jul 28th 2006 2:19PM
@ #2...
Hilarious!
I was just about to say something similar to that.
If you don't like the news, just skip over it. Jeez.
Ps- The PS3 is for Liberace-types (let the flames consume me!)

This news is so old...
I bet the onion ring is cold now.

2 & 4: You two are complaining about what people's possible reactions.
Weird.

I just woke up and before I read the title, when I saw the picture, I thought it was shit...

That reminds me. When I was a kid, I asked my mother to make a Pacman and Ms. Pacman cake for my birthday. She took two layers from a round layer cake, cut wedges out of each of them and decorated accordingly. From one of the wedges she fashioned a bow for Ms. Pacman and she took the other wedge and crafted a heart which she frosted and set between them on the cake. It was Pac-tastic!
My friends dared me to give the heart to Nikki Johnson (a girl I had a crush on). I chickened out and never did it.
I was 32 years old. Kidding. I was like 9 years old or something and it was a pretty bitch'n birthday cake.

So - playing with your food = front page news on Joystiq?
I gotta write that down somewhere...
IslandLife @ Jul 28th 2006 3:01PM
Wow, I've seen some slow news days around here, but this has to be the worst.
Thomas Crymes @ Jul 28th 2006 3:08PM
Umm. Everything Joystiq posts is front page news... by default.
Jeffler @ Jul 28th 2006 3:13PM
This will totally be better on the Wii...we'll be able to SHAPE the onion rings!
;)
C. Grant @ Jul 28th 2006 3:32PM
Beat me to it Thomas!
the deaf guy @ Jul 28th 2006 3:42PM
uh oh someone called it "news" did i come to CNN.com by mistake again? but yea i'm hungry for pac-man shaped onion rings now.
matthew @ Jul 28th 2006 4:19PM
oh good comments section, where have you gone?
mercatfat @ Jul 28th 2006 4:19PM
This is the worst "news" ever posted. Simply put, it's stuff like this that's making me lose my faith in Joystiq. That, and your horribly apparent bias.
Get a real job and leave the news to the professionals.
krabstew @ Jul 28th 2006 4:29PM
why not? this is awesome!
waka waka waka waka waka waka
Dave @ Jul 28th 2006 4:46PM
Uh...gross.
cringer8 @ Jul 28th 2006 5:08PM
@mercatfat
Expand your vocabulary before posting. How is something "horribly apparent?" It can be "overly apparent," but just “apparent” is good enough.
And another thing; what do you picture behind the scenes at Joystiq, a bunch of guys sitting around a table deciding what stories to post and what angles to take? It's a blog site. Blake saw a funny picture that has gaming overtones and decided to share it.
Bias = Subjective = opinion.
Get over yourself.
mercatfat @ Jul 28th 2006 5:29PM
Cringer8:
I apologize. I'll try to make my sarcasm more glaringly obvious in the future.
For the record, though, "horribly" is most certainly an acceptable adjective before "apparent." It's similar in nature to being "terribly good" at english, which you apparently are not.
Eh, fake trolling is hard on the soul.
cringer8 @ Jul 28th 2006 5:42PM
lol @ "terribly good at english," you buffoon.
Terrible and horrible mean "bad."
Is Joystiq bad at being apparent? Are you bad at being "good at english?" Oh, wait, you are. Hahaha
dan kavanagh @ Jul 28th 2006 7:38PM
hahahahahaha
they are just making fun of the potato chip guy
.............i hope
wow my mashed potatoes look like space invaders!!!
