I think I can blame this show for G4.

The early 90ies were the most bodacious time to be a kid.
I could cry just thinking about how radical it all was compared to our modern-day corporate consumer-whore era :(
I would pay good money if someone would release a DVD box with only related material.
All the old promo-videos, the advertisments, movies like Bill and Ted, The Wizard, TMNT and only slightly related commercials too, like Chuck-E-Cheese or even the early Blockbuster rental outlets.
But since that would be impossible to do with all the respective licensing: TORRENT PLZ

JD Roth was most recently the host of Unan1mous on Fox TV. He was still pretty stupid.

Didn't they have a cartoon that was "sponsored" by Acclaim video games as well?
Cause I remember the MJ look-alike "Tyrone" from Arch Rivals, The blue dude from N.A.R.C, the knight from Wizards & Warriors, Kwirk (obscure Gameboy puzzle game), Bigfoot (The monster truck...yes Acclaim made a video game about a monster truck...which I own...and enjoy playing. You wanna make something of it?) some how coming out of a video game and into "our" world.
Anyone here remember that...or have footage of it?

Hey look! It's GameSpot's Rich Gallup and Alex Navarro.
I remember this show, but I never watched it. It came on way too early and it just wasn't worth it. I hardly cared about the games it covered (TV Sports Basketball?). Although I do have fond memories of Fall of the Foot Clan. Therefore, this episode has great retro kitsch appeal. Can't wait for the next one.

Holy crap, I was the one that wrote in asking how the hell to get the key from the chandelier in Maniac Mansion. Maybe a lot of people requested that or something, but I definitely wrote a letter asking for that hint.
This may be the finest show ever made, on any topic, ever.

I remember turning the volume down until they showed game footage. I was embarassed to watch this show in front of anyone. It's even more gay years later. This reminds me of the days when video games were considered toys. I'm so glad it's more mainstream now.

That Acclaim-based show was Video Power, with your host, Johnny Arcade.
It became a video game-themed game show eventually.

The sad thing is that even today LamePros magazine still reflects that same look and attitude.

Anyone remember the Mario Bros tv show? I can't decide if this is worse. And I have very vague memories about some cartoon that had a guy who was transported into a video game. I think he had a NES controller on his belt that would let him jump really high or something. Also I think he used the Zapper at some point.
