Hey Jonathon, by the way, that is hilarious, because my company was also voted as one of the best companies to work at and we have a huge turnover rate from people getting fed up!!

I actually respect Micrsony and his/her post. Thank you for not being a ignorant, arogant, blinded bot about your PS3 support. If only their were more decent fans like you on the web.

Oh, and the guy that said Wii and 360 fans are scared of Sony, I laugh in your face as I throw news, after news, after news right at you from your beloved company. 'News' meanings the bad press they've been getting. Knowing people like you you most likely ignored them and ran crying into the comforting words of you ridiculous(sp?) PRs quotes. Buddy, I think you are the scared one and your post reflected that as it mimiced the majority of $onyfanbots (minus Micrsony).

@ Micrsony

You are certainly entitled to your opinions and whether you buy a PS3 or not is entirely your perogative. However, some of your arguments are rather flawed.

1) The ps3 is a really great deal when you think of what you are getting.

I've heard this argument a thousand times, but really it is all a matter of opinion. Sure if Bluray, built in WiFi (for the $600 version), and a larger harddrive is really that important to you, then yes the PS3 is the better value. However, if you are just looking to play video games (which I believe is the intent of most gamers) then 360 is the better value. Cell and Bluray drive up the price of the PS3 (and maybe even the games) when there is no proof either of these technologies will significantly increase the value of the games themselves.

As for me, I have no intention what-so-ever of buying into this High Def DVD hype. I even have a HD Projector screen and I could care less about HD movies. The difference is simply not worth the extra cost to me. Regular DVDs look perfectly fine to me.

Oh, and one last thing. PC gaming online is free too. The reason why XBL costs money is because it adds much more to the online game playing experience. However, if you don't want it you don't have to buy it. Who knows, the PS3 online could be utter crap. I mean, the DS online is a nice touch, and I'd say it adds a little bit of value to the system, but it is nothing to XBL. That could end up being the case with PS3.

2) Yes I think you have to agree that there is a lot of high end tech in the ps3.

Yes, and the 360 has a lot of high end tech in it as well. Actually, most of what you mentioned you can do on the 360 as well, except for the Bluray, built in Wifi, and tilt controllers. I won't bother repeating myself about the Bluray. The Wifi is only a concern if you have a wireless network, and even then you're better off hardwiring it for a more stable connection (thats what I did with my 360). And finally the tilt controllers. Well, I need only say that only one game thus far supports it.

3) When you face the facts the Xbox 360 at this moment has great games but nothing yet that is better then the ps3 or even the Wii.

The PS3 and Wii are not even out yet, so by default the 360 has better games. Besides, 'better games' is not a factual argument, is is purely judgmental. Also, it kinda bugs me when people say "I don't want that system because it doesn't have any games that I want." I'm sure if you bought a 360 you could find games you'd enjoy. For instance, if you like RPGs, I'm sure you'd enjoy Oblivion.

When I bought my GC it was about 6 months after launch date. That was my first next gen (at that time anyway) video game console. I had a lot of fun with it, but for a while there was a huge dry spell of good games (definitely not a surprise with GC). I asked my bro if he wanted to split an XBox with me, and he said "But there aren't any good games for it." Well, we ended up buying one and we ended up playing our Xbox more than our GC. I find this is usually the case. Once people actually get a console, usually they can find plenty of games they like.

I mean, I can see why you wouldn't want to buy a system when you're unsure if you would enjoy the games. That is why I am still holding off on buying a PSP. However, I'm sure if I bought one I would find some games that I like. It is just that, since I already have a DS, I don't see a point in buying a PSP until either a) the DS bores me or b) the PSP gets some really great games.

Ultimately my point is simply this. The argument "I don't want so-and-so system because there are no good games for it" doesn't really have any justification for any system that is out right now. There are good games for any system. Its just whether you want to make that initial investment or not.

4) I don’t think they are going to be already working on the ps4, and if what Sony say’s is true and the PS3 last ten years there is going to be strong support for my investment.

I wouldn't bet on it. Sony also said the PS2 will last a decade. In reality, it probably will continue selling for another five years, like the PSone. But, I sincerely doubt the PS3 is powerful enough to maintain two whole generations of video games, without the need for a PS4. Sony was just saying that to hype up their machine.

As I said before, you are entitled to your opinions and if you think PS3 is the best console then more power to ya. My arguments are not about your opinions, but about the arguments you used in which to support them.

About the Dreamcast release - to my knowledge this was barely even marketed in Australia. There were no ads on TV, the local EB had no posters or even mention of it. Infact when I walked into the store and saw one I was suprised that I hadn't heard anything about it earlier.
