Mind telling us how you did it then? The only way I know how to do is it to use an accessory, like something from Datel. I don't get how MS hasn't come up with some sort of adapter to transfer saves...I mean if can't be THAT hard to figure out.

why is this even a source of contention? if you're gonna argue about Sony doing it then you have to argue against MS NOT doing it.

I'm still a bit iffed i cant play Def Jam on my 360 though... i hope they hammer that BC stuff out cuz i still DO like some of my under 2 years old xbox games ya know..

at least the PS3 will have a PS2 chipset so it should play at least most of the PS2 games no problem

ok for some reason. it didnt post the first time so ill try again.

What you need to have is an xbox memory card a file transfer kit from a 3rd party and a memory card for the 360.

what you do is transfer the saves on to your xbox memory card.

then connect your xbox memory card to your comp via the file transfer kit (roughly 10 bucks at best buy)

then put the files onto the 360 memory cards via the transfer kit

and finally stick the memory card into your 360 and transfer it that way.

Its great and works. Infact i have my entire xbox 360 backed up into my laptop even the arcade games.

@andres

The point is, you have to purchase a third party product to get it to work on the 360, and some files like Forza, etc can not be moved at all. They are protected, people already tried.

So basically the same peopel bashing Sony abot thinking of the gamers and offering this, in turn are buying a third party product that cost more than the $10 one Sony is supporting and offering.

Hypocrisy.

Hmmmm....This means little to me as I can't get rid of my PS2....I've loaded all my games to a 200GB Hard Drive.

Good news for my PS1 saves......I can finally finish FINAL FANTASY IX without looking for those archaic memory cards.

Wait, I don't remember anything being said about an adapter being sold. For all we know, this adapter could very well be included with the PlayStation 3, especially the $600 one? Maybe I missed this whole $30 adapter or $10 adapter business or whatever...

But hey, that's just me. And for those who asked about the 10.9% sales tax, it's not uncommon. I live in Chicago and it's 10.5%

i enjoy every genre/system but i've obvious nintendo slantings...

i like it. sure, the adapter could come free, considering the system cost, but considering the system cost and the actual service it provides, it's not a bad deal. also, i LOVE the idea of having saves on a hdd, mostly. i've been looking for a save management suite that lets me use my hdloader hdd for saves but i've found bubcus.

Sony will probably offer AV breakout cables allowing the PS3 to be connected to any TV with composite (yellow/red/white cables) or better connections. Madcatz will most likely sell a cheap RF adapter so you can hook it up to your 1967 Panaphonics B&W set as well.

Unless you have an HDTV-ready television and connect using HDMI or component (red/green/blue) cables, though, the graphics on the PS3 aren't going to look any better than a Gamecube game. Which, to hear Sony fans talk, is utter utter shite.

I'm not defending Sony...but you saying:

"Unless you have an HDTV-ready television and connect using HDMI or component (red/green/blue) cables, though, the graphics on the PS3 aren't going to look any better than a Gamecube game. Which, to hear Sony fans talk, is utter utter shite."

...is total bias. That has GOT to be the dumbest thing I've read all day.

1. Still have to buy a thumb drive.
2. Not every one has the network adapter (And I've moved everything to wireless, the last thing I want to do is get my PS@ out and connect it to my cable again).
3. Only major cities would get the kiosks.

This sounds like a reasonable solution.
