Unless I'm mistaken...this dropped in Japan on July 27th. And actually sold out at some locations.

I'm going to say that's more of a Kate Hudson than a Kiera Knightley.

Something related to the Xbox 360 is doing decent in Japan? Madness.

"Alicia has a broom, only hers can be converted into a machine gun, shot gun, heavy cannon, or gatling gun -- all with a flick of the wrist."

OMG! Does it means... real-time weapon change???!!!

Sadly, the AI still doesn't seem that intelligent. GameBrink released a very good review (http://www.gamebrink.com/xbox-360/1598-Bullet_Witch-reviews.html) that addressed everything and gave the game a 77 out of 100. It has some flaws, so I don't know if I will get it yet.

Keira Knightley my ass. That looks more like Corky from _Life Goes On_.

Unfortunately, the Xbox 360 Jpan installed base is such that a game can sell out and still have well less than 100K units in existence and never make the bestseller charts.

But it's a start. The hardware sales there cannot be expected to show any serious movement until there are a selection of titles really suited to that market. So far it still a struggle just to make the teens there aware the 360 is actually marketed there and isn't an import system for those with unusual tastes in games.

I said it before, and I'll say it again... Boring...

Look, I know the Xbox crew is begging for some Japanese consumers, but they're going to have to try harder than this.

I downloaded the trailer for it on XBL. It looks pretty cool, and I really liked the destructible environments. Unfortunately the graphics have that bland, barely-textured look that I associate with mannequins and Everquest 2. No style to speak of...

C'mon Ibere, be serious. You know only the PS3 has the power required for real-time weapon change ;)

Alicia looks different in every screen shot. Weird for sure.

"Alicia has a broom, only hers can be converted into a machine gun, shot gun, heavy cannon, or gatling gun -- all with a flick of the wrist."

OMG! Does it means... real-time weapon change???!!!"

Yes, yes it does. But you get RUMBLY real-time weapon change! You can't stop the powers that be! Woooo!

I think the gameplay looks fun. Naturally, we'll need a demo to assess the situation.

I wonder if the Japanese will go for Enchanted Arms? Or did they get that one already?

You're not just weapon-switching here, the broom morphs into different weapons. Vid looks kind of cool.

@ warlock
I don't really care if it's out in Japan either, I just wanted to help Joystiq correct their story and keep people informed. Guess I shoulda put the tip in the "corrections?" link...oops. At least I didn't rip Joystiq like most people offering corrections. (^_^)
