Wow, a game from Midway. The PS3 is sure rolling in AAA titles now. I wonder how they will use the power of Cell to render realistically dated graphics, and how the various bugs and gamekilling glitches will make use of all 9 of the PS3's cores.

New IPs are good. They can often be the main reason to buy a console (see: Halo). I'm glad to see the PS3 get a couple.

Oh my god, a new game for the PS3, this must mean that the starship Sony is going under!... wait... ah well.

My initial feeling though is: meh.

Simply based on me not knowing what Midway and Surreal has done for ME lately.

Last Midway game I played I think was on my beloved Amiga 500.

With all of Sony’s bullshit they are on “double secret probation” until we see something in the flesh. My feelings just haven’t been the same since the emotion engine.

Let's just hope it's not a spin-off of the Suffering...I don't think I could suffer from any more of that terrible dialogue. :x

So, when you basically boil off all of the PR speak (words like "robust" "resonates" "a concept which will blow you away") we have a job listing for a development firm.

This just reminds me of when IGN hyped the living hell out of Table Tennis for the Xbox 360.

People were so dissappointed once they found out what it really was.

It's a Football game with Ninjas and Pirates.

They're calling it "X > Y" or "X PWNZ Y"

"Secret" and "Secret Window". A damn good movie if you ever get the chance to see it.

...Good for them? 'Meh' is my contribution to the general consensus.

Intellectual Property, like Zelda or Mario. New IP means its something new, not just another Final Fantasty remake. (Ex: Red Steel is a new IP on the Wii.)

Intellectual Propery. It means, orignal game, not based off of any other existing media.

N00B:
IP stands for 'intellectual property'. In this case, they mean copyright and/or trademark. So, it's a game with 'new' trademarks, not characters/worlds we've seen before.

"Intellectual Property" really a crock. Copyright law was intended to protect consumers from crappy ripoff products. Big business has turned it around and used it to protect themselves, claiming that it means that they 'own' ideas and designs.

It's worth reading up on:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intellectual_property (The article is more factual, less biased than me, so read it even if you don't agree with my opinion. :) )

Surely an exciting news for PS3 fans. Its really tiring even for a 360 fan to hear all those bad news regarding PS3.
