Happy Zelda music day
29
Today is Friday, and you know what that means. That's right, it's time for a bunch of videos of people playing Zelda music! This ukulele performance (found via Wonderland) is pretty impressive, but continue reading for an equally impressive piano medley (from Video Game Pianist Martin Leung) and a little ditty played on a real ocarina!

Just ignore it. If you don't believe in trolls, they disappear.
On topic, I love the Zelda music. Also, anyone who has not seen the Nintendo concert in Japan featuring the Big Band of Rouges needs to. I seriously hope the next Zelda and Mario games feature some performances from the two bands in that concert (particularly the small string group).

Question:
At 4:00 (or 4:08 exactly), which game/what song is that? I heard it in the Zelda Hourglass trailer.

I have that same Ocarina. I bought it from an ad in Nintendo Power many years ago after saving up my money for it. The same ads still are running in the magazine today.
I never thought to make a youtube video out of it, though.

I mean the video is cool, but are there any good mp3's of this? Seems like what you see doesnt matter and video codecs dont leave much room for good sound.
Kudos to the artists

I don't know if there's a big difference in how you play between an ukulele and a guitar but I just (2 months ago) bought an electric guitar after many hours of Guitar Hero playing and man, guitar playing is 10 times more difficult than piano/keyboard playing. This guy is great, I wish I could do that.
And Zelda rocks!

Damn, they were all good, and I'm not ashamed to say that some of the songs of that piano video brought me to tears with nostalgia. Damn, I hope the new Zelda games have those songs. I also liked the last one with the ocarina. As far as I know, there are no real instruments like that, so kudos to that guy with the time to make a working one. I loved how he played the song, bobbing his head back and forth like Link did whenever he played in Ocarina of Time (another tears-of-nostalgia moment).

All three sound great, of course the piano being the most dramatic and imposing. This also goes to show how complex the (original) Zelda game was, from music to graphics to storyline. Truly a work of art :)

I gotta say, That piano medley... brings a tear to my eye. Piano is my favorite instrument, and video game music is some of my favorite music, not remixes though (cept maybe about 3/5ths of trigger happy tetris) Early video game music was classical done by a computer and set on a loop...

I always noticed that the "video game pianist" had a tendency to have several wrong notes in each song.
