It would have made sense if the wii would have been represented by a migdet crack whore and the PS3 by Maria Sharapova a hot, rich, smart, athletic and famous superstar. The fat bitch suits the 360 just fine.

Video was ok, to be honest I don't see the Wii as a gorgeous blond but more of the not so hot girlfriend that is a blast to be around. The PS3 should have been a chick with plastic surgery everywhere (ie tits, ass, lips) to enhance her appearance and maybe 5 extra breasts added on at the last minute just to keep ahead of the competition.

Just my 2 cents about the power vs fun factor:

Play Half-Life 2 at both 800x600 and 1280x1024. Can u see the difference? The game is the same and the fun factor is the same.

Why? Because its the same fucking game! Graphical power is irrelevant to fun. Plus factor in that 90% of TVs out there don't support a resolution any higher than 800x600 (approx 480p) and you will have a lot of people unable to discern the differences between the PS3/Xbox 360 graphics and the Wii.

Keep on spewing your inferior power argument PS3 fanboys just remember though that the PS2 was the weakest system last go around and it managed to win the console battle. Games and price points win a system, regardles of horsepower. With the reported difficulties wrt programming on the PS3, Sony may have an N64 on their hands here. But only time will tell. Here's hoping that we the gamers win.

Let’s put a few things in context here people….

1) Its a spoof; Not an add! – This is one guys funny take on the apple commercial. I use the word funny loosely here because he works for G4 and I don’t think will be in line for any Emmy any time soon. One dude. Maybe one dude an intern wrote this. Not the Nintendo marketing team!
2) The Fanboy Feud - Every time the fan boys come out I think about the great N*Sync/Backstreet Boys feud of 2000. Screaming little girls who are arguing over something that is pretty much the same thing. So what, if you think Justin is cuter than Nick. Most haven’t played either console so why are you drawing you allegiances now? You’re not getting any kick backs from Sony or Nintendo to call people douche bags, are you? I had fun playing my ‘Cube and PS2…the world won’t end people. I going to recommend hobbies for all… puzzles, burnt toast sculpture, amateur porn… anything is better than this.
3) “Anthropomorphism and technology just don't mix” (#15) – Geoff, buddy. Something tells me you’re a dork. And as said dork you’ve seen a sci-fi movie, right? R2-D2? Lt. Commander Data? Transformers? Millions of hours have been spent collecting perfect “mint-in-box” recreations of anthropomorphized technology. Frankly, if it was a Ford Pinto being represented by a hot chick I’d at least go and kick the tires. And we all know (and by all I mean any of us that read this thing and have actually been laid), that fat chicks try harder so I’d kick her tires too!

In your analogy, why would the PS3 be rich? If he is so rich, why is he always asking you for money? I'd imagine Mr. PS3 as some college professor trying to wow you with what he can do, but always asking for more funding, and generally falling short. Or maybe some guy who just wants to keep showing the girl movies and doesn't want to actually do much.

The Wii, then, would be a fun, laidback, trendy guy who still asks for money (though not as much), but spends it showing you fun things to do.

How I'd do it (if I absolutely felt the need to rip off Apple's ad people in the first place):

Wii would be an adorable, androgynous young Japanese girl who jumps around and giggles a lot, wearing a quirky Japanese outfit, and speaking only in Japanese in a high squeaky voice. The Wii would throw frisbees and bounce balls and play jump-rope during the ad, shouting "KAWAII!" every once in a while for added (pointless) effect.

PS3 would be a Sumo wrestler wearing a Botany 500 three-piece suit and a football helmet. He would be all serious, and would spend half the time looking at his library of five movies and muttering in Japanese about how he might cost a bit more, but if people want him around they'll have to get another job to afford him. He would completely ignore Wii, instead looking sideways at Xbox 360...

Xbox 360 would be an American geek. He'd be wearing a quirky gamer's T-shirt and jeans, and a utility belt with all sorts of geek toys (including D&D stuff, comic books, etc). He'd seem to have a decent (although sometimes groan-worthy) sense of humor about the whole thing, but obviously does not like PS3. He keeps checking out Wii, clearly thinking of the naughtybad things he could do to her. Every once in a while, he flips off PS3 and winks at Wii.

Near the end, 360 looks through his collection of 10 movies (thanks to his newest upgrade) and invites Wii to come over to his place to watch a flick. Wii giggles, yells "Yahoo!" and they take off, clearly meaning to do more than play together.

PS3 remains behind, shouting that he is the superior one and that people should respect him, then he pisses his pants. Not missing a beat, he says it's a "bonus feature"--

People are already giving too much credit to Wii, and discrediting PS3. Remember PSP is sony's first in the portable market, which has almost always been owned by Nintendo, so they aren't doing bad (and actually they aren't doing bad in absolute terms anyway). The reason the DS is exploding is because it has cattered to people that neither Microsoft nor Sony thought was possible to attract (then again, that's happening only in Japan, the smallest of the three markets, which reflects also how culture does matter).

Sony still owns the console market, and it will be very hard to topple. It's not like people are just retarded like that and judge consoles solely based on price; if that was true, Gamecube would have outsold PS2 and Xbox. Nintendo still has a kiddy image, and having an underpowered processor and a wand can't help it much. I'm all for the Wii, but that's only because I'm a gamer.

As Kojima said, the best thing would be "A PS3 with Wii controls". I would propose a PS3 Boomerang controller, divided in two, just like the nunchuck but without wires, but still having the same amount of buttons as a PS3. That way you can play any game made for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and even more...

Internet: Serious Business. This does do a good job at spoofing those horrible Mac vs. PC commercials. Even as a dead set Playstation fan (not sony in general, just the Playstation), I liked it for what it is, Entertainment! Now, all Wii and PS3 fanboys, and people trying to make comparisons, please, shut up.

In a word...awesome. I too love these types of Mac spoofs and the PS3 vs. Nintendo Wii one was very funny. I've played both systems at E3 and plan to buy both as well, so I'm not being a fanboy when I say that I liked it because it bashed Sony or anything; it's just really good. Let the battle begin!

480p = 720x480 not 640 x 480. TV uses a different aspect ratio than your computer, dumbass. For my arguments sake 480p is reasonably equivalent to 800x600, but if that's the only flaw you can find in my argument than oh well....I digress...

Wii is a kid with a pea shooter. He can at least aim, but makes all threats in a high, squeaky voice that amuses little old ladies.

PS3 is a buff WWII army guy laden with high-tech gear. He has a grenade, and it blows up in his face before he can toss it.

XBox360 is a space marine with a flame thrower. He's still looking for a match to light the flame.

I couldn't tell if the systems were well represented. Every time the ps3 spoke... the camera focused on the wii. All I heard was trumpet-speak (Wah wah wah wah wah wah.)

Personally, I see the PS3 person as being dull and too self serious. The Wii person seems like someone who'd be more fun to talk to. And that's based by the vocal tone and expression, not the... visuals.

As for the whole Wii-women being dumb, I'd disagree. There are different types of intellegence, as opposed to the stereotypical 'need smarts.' There's a difference between being sexy and being dumb. Anyone who can't see the difference between that clearly falls in the later catagory. ;)
