New PS3 Assassin's Creed images surface

To call this game suspect or not really depends on what kind of game is being made. If Assassin's Creed is built around a traditional third person action or adventure model, these shots are highly suspect at being real. This is simple because none of the shots have the character in a center-screen location nor are any of them in positions to make gameplay natural. All of them are far too cinematic to be a traditional third person game.

Now, if it were designed more along the lines of Resident Evil, then the fixed camera angle would explain why the main character sits off-center. In which case, the shots can be believable as being real. This also means that Assassin's Creed may not be a fast action title since designing action around a fixed camera angle makes for a difficult time to control the character.

Great looking game! Can't wait till it comes to the 360!

Looks pretty crappy, but then again, it's from Ubisoft, AND it's a cross-platform game. I may still be worth checking out though.

The 360 is a piece of junk it's just a XBOX in a new color. Microsoft is going down.

Well, LT might be right in that the game could be laid out similar to RE, in that the camera is fixed. But considering that no confirmed gameplay footage of the game has been released (the E3 trailer was also just a pre-rendered video), I don't feel too excited yet. I can't speak for anyone else, but I've been burned enough by trailers to not trust them much.

MS bitches are just mad because they not getting this game. This game looks awesome, it'll kick GOW ass for sure.

What the hell are you talking about? Assassin's Creed IS coming to Xbox 360. GoW AND AC on same console will kick PS3's ass if you ask me. ;)

This game looks cool, but it is nothing the x360 can't do it it? I mean the shadows and graphics look similar.

The game is coming out for 360. And the game looks pretty damn good. So deal with it you 360 hating pansies. So both sides will be able to pla, what is the bloody problem?

They might be screenshots but they're manufactured - the same people appear in nearly all the populated ones, in the SAME POSE!

What I am noticing these days is how the PS3s gfx are becoming less movie-like and more xbox360-like. I guess that's what happens when you have to deal with game logic and memory shunting rather than just playing back from a script file oin a real-time demo, eh?

and is it me or does this look like another playstation that can't edge-antialias?

looking fabulous. i can only hope this game can satisfy the unquenchable thirst of this genre that God of War left me with.

Graphics whores piss me off :/ Gameplay > Graphics. Period.

Cannot wait for this game. I'm not into next-gen graphics all that much, but this stuff (If legit) looks pretty good.

Why is everyone whining about Joystiq's Anti-Sony bias? They're just internet writers like you and me. Besides, they already got their cummupance: Being just bloggers they won't be treated to perks like E3 anymore.

So much **** and so little talk about the game which looks and sound AWESOME. The Xboys always have to spoil the PS party with unsubstantiated rumours which make no difference to games. Shut up and start liking GAMES not brand names and consoles you stupid chavs.
