Yes, please bring back the Syndicate series.

I wasn't too big of a fan with the first one but was instantly hooked with the sequel, Syndicate Wars. An online version(thinking he's talking about Massive Multiplayer) would be interesting to see but rather see them build a better background story and a proper single-player game before making it a MMOG. Something like id Software did with Doom 3. It's like they completely remade Doom into a living, breathable world(thanks to improved game writing and game engines)

Old franchises? Magic Carpet. Please. Flying around a world that was completely deformable hasn't been done well since that title. Any game that lets you create a volcano isokay by me.

Wow, what a coincidence! I just started playing Syndicate (for the first time) on the 3D0 a couple of days ago. It seems like an amazing game, but I am having a hard time with the limited controls (mouse and keyboard would be nice).

Cheers!

If only EA and Accolade would release updated versions of all the Fred Ford/Paul Reiche III games from their early days.

We need a new Archon, Starflight, Star Control, and Mail Order Monsters!!!

Wow, I would love to see Syndicate again. A couple years ago I started buying original Playstation games that were PC ports, since the PS2 was backwards compatible and I was a PC gamer when the Playstation launched. For example: Descent, Crusader:No Remorse, Sim City 2000, X-Com:UFO Defense, and Syndicate Wars.

Deth, even with a mouse Syndicate could be kind of annoying.

Sequels of:
Magic Carpet
Syndicate Wars

Absolutely. Its very difficult to play these on modern PCs without DosBox etc. Even then they can crash horribly.

An update to these would be very awesome.

/Has had Syndicate Wars animated mouse cursor set as windows pointer for years now ;-)

Licensing issues? Since when is this a problem these days? Just name it something entirely different. Your fans are smart enough to know what the game really is. Look at Supreme Commander, its hyped out the wazoo because its Total Annihilation 2, with a different name.

Way to go! Syndicate is one of my all-times favourite games and I cannot count how many hours I played it, but I hated Syndicate wars. It just did not feel right. Give me the old syndicate feeling, but with modern technology. I am not so hot about that multiplayer thing, either. Would be really nice, but please don't forget the single player.
I would not miss DK3 oder another popolous, though.

Funny, I just tracked down a DOS Emulator just to play this game on my PC again. (Don't worry, I own the game.)

But I do think that a Mouse is integral to the gameplay. So, I'd rather see a successor on the PC...but then again, my PC probably wouldn't meet the minimum specs, so I'd be screwing myself. *sigh*

If they could make the controls work on the 360 controller, and they stuck with the original idea of the game (and not some MMO or some other crap) then I'd be totally into it.

The days of Bullfrog are sadly gone, but there's always hope for a "spiritual successor!

I've been craving a new Dungeon Keeper game for years! I loved that one! And now that Blizzard has abandoned everything for WOW, which is not for me, I need something to fill the void! Dungeon Keeper was a very fun take on the genre. Warcraft 3 had you playing as the bad guys, but Dungeon Keeper really had you enjoying it :)

Syndicate was GREAT! That game blew me away. Wars was not as good, sadly. I woul dlove to see a sequel done right, and also think syndicate would be a perfect game for a DS port...

also perfect picture for this post!

I'm sure he's interested in revisiting these, just like Ford revisits the 60s Mustang.

But Syndicate Wars sucked. Any kind of "sprawling" sequel is likely to lose the original point, just like Wars did.

I'd be surprised to see any good come from this, let alone anything like the awesomeness that was Syndicate.
