What a crappy name. What, are they afraid they'll piss off Californian landowners if they name it wildfire?

Secret Rings? Pffft. That's a worse name than Wii!

That said, thank Jesus they're showing off Phantasy Star Universe. Can't wait for it.

''Also notice that Sega has rather unceremoniously changed the name of their Sonic Wii title, Sonic Wild Fire, to Sonic and the Secret Rings''.

Well as long as I get to collect shiny gold rings its all good.

I hope they don't decide to change the name again, the only choice left is:

Sonic and the Ring of Fire

Answer: Sonic's Secret Of Nyhm Collectable Rings
Question: What name can you think of that would be absolutely atrocious, and yet, not as bad as the real one?

PS - Scuba Owl could beat Sonic in a fight, using only his wit.

And they still deny the Nintendo people the PSU experience, Maybe they have forgotten the fact that the Phantasy Star Online series would've crashed and burned without us in the GameCube era.... How many copies did I & II for Xbox sell, again?

Because making an online group-based action RPG into a head to head turn based card battle game breathed the much needed new life into PSO that simply couldn't have been accomplished by Episode IV (Blue Burst) alone.

I'm with ncdign...where the hell is Virtua Fighter 5? VF5 and MGS4 are the only reasons I'm even interested in the PS3, and now SEGA's witholding the goods.

BTW, there's a hot direct fedd of the VF5 on IGN. Damn that game looks great! :)

To Designerbradr:

The Wii is going to have more exclusives overall because it's a much different console to program with the motion sensing and (not hating) being less powerful than the competitors.

I don't see your point, either.

"I don't see your point, either."

That's because you didn't see my tongue firmly implanted in my cheek. Any fanboy can skew information to make a point – and darryl's no exception.

As for the point you brought up, the Wii doesn't require exclusives, and in fact has quite a few "enhanced" ports on its launch list. But I think the more devs play with the hardware, the more they are seeing the possibility of designing a game from the ground up with the controller in mind. This will inevitably breed exclusives. It's interesting to note that the devs who have had the Wii controller in their hands and heads the longest are pumping out exclusives.

Exclusives are all the rage these days, especially with the rampant fanboyism in gaming circles. It's a buzz word that captures immediate attention, and for many people it's a deciding factor in puchase decisions.

So if I were to wrap all this up on a legitimate note, I would say that the ranking information I gave does skew well for Nintendo. Of course it all depends on the quality of the exclusive – or the quality of the port for that matter.
