All three are very well done. I was most impressed by the ocarina this time. The quartet seemed a little out of tune but still a did a great job. the piano dude was pretty good too...i kinda like his intro more than the rest of his performance though...maybe because we've seen someone play it on piano already....

I believe that the string quartet was preformed at James Madison university.

Agh! He butchered the market song on the ocarina! >_< Saria's Song was craptastic as well, but Ive got to give him points for trying...

The piano one was awesome. He messed up a few times and yah he could have slowed down in some parts, but man it's such great music that you have to love it. The people who composed this music (and other classic nintendo songs) are up there with the best of the classical composers in my opinion. :)

Very impressed with the keyboard player, although he got a couple of the keys wrong at the start of one or two of the songs. That, or he noted them down wrong/used a flawed resource.
Either way, impressive!
The ocarina one was a touch sloppy, I've had a go on one of them myself and they are surprisingly easy to use properly - it just looks like something thrown together a week after getting one for his birthday, christmas or whatever it is kids celebrate these days.
The string quartet was good, although zelda songs have been done to death on the strings. I'd like to hear an electric guitar or saxaphone version... now that would pique my interest.

The string quartet was very poorly done. They were out of key, played it too fast, and made several mistakes. If you enjoyed it, do yourselves a favor and look up the Hyrule Symphony. They are proffesionals who actually do justice to Kondo's themes.

To All Complainers: Please post your link to your YouTube video where you have performed Zelda music onto a comment, then you'll have full license to bitch about how that guy was one key off or some other bullshit. Grow up, these people did something awesome, and no, they weren't perfect but I'd like to see any of us come anywhere close.

Has anyone here heard the cover of the Zelda theme song by System of a Down? Or maybe it was Tool... I can't remember, think I'm gonna go download it again. It wasn't a very good rendition, but it was still way cool to hear a heavy band play something as lovely as a symphonic piece.
Look it up, you won't be (that) dissapointed...

Ryan... it probably isn't too hard to find other competent string players here who can play the Zelda theme.

I agree with the few people who said the ocarina guy butchered the music. I have a 12 hole Ocarina and can do all of the songs he did, he REALLY butchered the market song. Ill make a video if needed.

I play the violin (have done so for 11 or so years now) and actually thought the string quartet was pretty good. I don't understand people's complaints about their speed; I think they went at a good solid pace. There were a few notes off and some intonation stuff, but overall I think it sounded really nice, and it was obvious that even if they weren't perfect, all the players knew what they were doing and were having fun doing it. I wish I had the sheet music, though I can do most of the 1st violin by ear. I imagine it's more fun with other people.

Guys... the "System of a Down" Zelda cover was -not- by SoaD. It's by a band called Rabbit Joint and the song can be found here:

I just want to say as a life long lover of Zelda games and it's music that although a few notes were off w/e, the piano video just brings back so many nice memories and those who bitch about it not being perfect, I'd kill to be able to play near as good as that person did.
