Sony unveils new Signature PSPs

At Sony's online Signature store, there are two new limted edition PSPs available - the Tsukimi and the Kachofugetsu. You can get both of these super stylish PSPs for the low price of ¥31,500, which is about $272.

These two models are a part of Sony's Playstation Signature lineup , which ~~are usually ridiculously high priced~~ feature more upscale systems and accessories. At the store, you can also buy headphones, PSP cases, T-shirts, watches and tons of other things.

I must say, these actually look pretty cool, and while I wouldn't pay that kind of money for one, I wouldn't kick it out of bed, either. Everyone's been anticipating a new PSP, so here you go!

So here we finally see at least one of the E3 2004 color variants - and another one I've never seen... So OK, good - sort of. Are we getting these in the USA, though, or are we yet again supposed to watch while everyone gets the other colors but us?

And I'll say this about Nintendo, as much as they're profligate with color variants and cheesy licensed editions of their hardware with stickers, colors and such, at least they don't charge MORE for them.

The "Kachofugetsu" version looks awesome. It has the style of a white PSP but it isn't totally boring. The tsukimi is just kind of... boring. Wouldn't pay that kind of money to buy basically a different paint job, though.

These come with the extended-life battery by the way. It's 2200mAh versus the regular 1800mAh. Though I'm sure someone will still find a way to complain about the battery life.
