I've been doing cross-realm all morning. Wait times are cut in more than half. I'm able to do AV in many cases less than 20-30 minutes. Its amazing, and now the teams are much more balanced. Theres not much need for Paladin-Shammy switchovers now :D

Hah. EQ1 had a built in MP3 player.

...why doesn't eq2? Damn.

Anyways. Good luck with this, you know for a FACT that you won't be able to play WoW now for a week after the patch.

Blizzard is a mmorpg noob. They couldn't handle servers if their lives depended on it.

Yeah the majority of the servers will be down (as expected) until at least 4. I say at least because they've already pushed the time back three times today.
For shame. The sad part is that the team working on the patch won't even be punished for not meeting expectations three times in six hours. Any other company would can their asses.

Well if I were them, I would write confusing code that only I could read. They wouldn't be able to afford to fire me! They would have to scrap all my work and start over!

(Note, Potential employers: not really)

I can't wait for this to hit the EU servers (Live in about 12 hours hopefully).

Don't suppose they've got the iTunes controls in the PC version as well, or is that asking too much of one upgrade?

Hammer,
No iTunes support for PC's yet. The Mac team got it working first, so it made it into the patch. There is a community team quote about it on the WoW US boards somewhere if you are curious.

I dont understand why they took the time to add support for itunes... I mean, shouldn't they focus on less down time and not screwing up the patches all the time?

Joey:

You've confused developers (additions, "support for itunes") with the IT staff (servers, "less down time") and QA (bug fixing, "screwing up the patches")

I am sure this will make WoW PvP more fun. Now just get rid of DKs, and I will be back when the expansion comes out.

I wouldn't be surprised if the itunes support was a feature one of their developers did in his offtime while he played the game at home or something. It seems like too much of a departure from game-enhancing development and certainly not something they would've proactively tasked a team member to focus on. Nevertheless, its a kick ass feature.

Regarding the iTunes integration - on Windows you can simply use WinAmp + global hotkeys. (I expect similar players for Macs have this feature as well.)
