EA has a taste for Germany, as it stopped by in Leipzig to both attend its Games Convention and acquired German developer Phenomic (SpellForce 2: Shadow Wars). Die Welt reports that Phenomic's management will remain intact and will undergo only a minor name change: EA Phenomic.EA would not disclose how much it paid. However, the publisher did note how paltry the sum was, remarking that "it would have no material impact on its earnings" (according to GameSpot's understanding of the German language).
EA is remaining mum, though likely some announcement will be made at their press conference in Leipzig, scheduled for 9:15 a.m. (3:15 a.m. EST).
