Not a bad list, though there are definitely some things that are not right there. I'm too lazy to list them all now, but I'll do so later if someone hasn't already. Overall though, it's a great faq for the uninitiated.

Over at GameIndustry.biz, they've just posted an EA exec stating that the Wii will be around $170.00. Here's to hoping!

"101. Will the GTA series make its way to the Wii?

Currently Rockstar have not revealed any plans to launch a GTA title on the Wii although they have expressed interest in game development for the Wii. "

Rockstar also mocks Nintendo in Liberty City Stories, ragging on both Mario Kart and the Revolution. The Wii might see Table Tennis 2 or something =)

"78. Is there a Power Glove?

Recent rumors have been surfacing regarding the addition of a power glove. Yet no details have as of yet been announced."

Hee hee.

"29. Will the Wii have 5.1 support?

No, the Wii has support for Dolby Pro Logic II."

What?!? I wasn't aware of this. The Wii isn't even 5.1derful? That's pathetic.

Most recently (15th august 2006) American games publisher McGee has spoken out saying:

"The only true Next-Gen console out there is the Wii. Everything else is just a video card and processor upgrade,"

----

is "american games publisher mcgee" his full name now?

13. Is there going to be a global launch?

No, a global launch is not on the cards for the Wii. Back in March Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said:

"We don't think it's necessary to do the simultaneous worldwide launch simply because others are doing this,"

Are they ignorant or something? Nintendo have said that Iwata didn't mean they weren't doing a global launch only that they aren't doing it because the competition is doing it.

A global launch for the wii is looking very likely.

Wow! 111 games in development, and 60 of those are exclusives?! thats crazy! I wonder what is the time span on those games? if its all within say 12-14 months of launch or something? that would be an amazing first year for a console.

I thought that was a pretty good list of FAQs. I learned a couple things that I didn't know already, though a lot of the answers could have been speculated/guessed. I can't wait for this thing to come out!

I heard we should have around 20-30 launch titles not counting the virtual console games within the second wave of games should be ssbb and mario galaxy along with 20 or so more games so we could end up with a fairly large amount of games within the first year of this consoles release. Also very nice FAQ though I think they should have waited till they had more facts. After all Ninty said all will be revealed before - in september. So its not that far away.

There are 30+ launch WINDOW titles (first three months). About 15 will be available launch DAY. Supposedly 30 Virtual Console games will be made available within that time, too.

Yes, there's a good chance that the Wii will have over one hundred games within it's first year (about 60 are confirmed as first year games). I just hope a good percentage of these are worth playing. I'm very hyped about LoZ, Metroid, Red Steel, SMG, and SSBB, and that's more than a year's worth of playing in my mind, but the Wii needs more than a handful of killer apps.

A large library means good things, but hopeful it's a GOOD large library. I think it will be, I'm just saying.

They missed the one question I've been wondering for a while: "Will I be able to use a Game Boy Advance for a controller for Gamecube games that require it, like Zelda Four Swords and Pokemon Colleseum?" I never bought a Cube, but ever since I heard the Wii could play the older games, I've been making a list of Gamecube games to get for it.
