Behold! Lost Planet multiplayer footage!

The E3 demo for Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is the one of the best downloads we have for the Xbox 360, and the only demo we still have on our hard drive. The game should be out by the end of the year in Japan, with North American and European releases Spring 2007.

Wow...is all I have to say. Now is this too hard Sony? To show some gameplay? This is a must have. Imagine the big gun on live! I'll have to betray my whole team to get ahold of that one!
Neil @ Aug 23rd 2006 7:37PM
I liked the part in Lost Planet where you had to kill a lot of bugs, in the snow no less. Talk about taking Menacanthus Stramineus to the extreme!
sometaken3 @ Aug 23rd 2006 7:38PM
Well Ive seen a few photos before of this game, but this just dosnt look as good as I thought it would originally. Im going to hold my final judgement till I can see a better feed of the game but I really dont see anything new here. Very nice explosion effects and the billowing smoke is very good though.

WHO CARES ABOUT THE GRAPHICS!?!? That game just looks fun! I'm sure while playing on a HDTV the graphics will be on par with just about any game at that point. I want fun gameplay! Anyone else with me on that?
jp @ Aug 23rd 2006 7:44PM
i thought i was gonna cop this game
all the noise hurt my ears but looks pretty good
ill rent it
Rask @ Aug 23rd 2006 7:44PM
Grab the E3 demo of this off Live Marketplace. It'll make you a believer(if it's still there).
I played this demo more than some of the arcade games I bought.
xboy @ Aug 23rd 2006 7:45PM
i want both good graphics and gameplay
i think im gonna sell my 360
i knew i should of stuck with sony
got a 1080p tv wating for the ps3 now
kftgr @ Aug 23rd 2006 7:46PM
did you ever play the E3 demo? That alone was enough to put in on my most wanted list. Even moreso now with multiplayer.
So far it seems like Capcom's been doing real well with the 360. Just hope they polish things a bit more with Lost Planet (e.g., no network issues ala SFII, or small text ala Dead Rising).
Tyler @ Aug 23rd 2006 7:48PM
The Xbox live demo is the best indicator that this game is going to be great. I've played this demo (only two levels mind you) more than any other demo I've downloaded.
Bummer we have to wait till 07, but seeing the polish from the E3 build to the one showing now, it'll be worth the wait.

Yes the demo was awesome indeed, and it is also still on my harddrive. Spring 07 is a whiles away, so no guarantees, but I do love my multiplayer, so this will surely get a look from me.
Z-247 @ Aug 23rd 2006 7:58PM
I couldn't tell- do you leave footprints in the snow? That would be a great element for tracking people. That's the kind of thing I want Next-gen to do. Not shininess, but immersion.
rjg @ Aug 23rd 2006 8:04PM
I forgot to add... It's obvious who the sony fanboys are that haven't even played this demo. I'm sure if this was slated for xbox AND ps3 their tune would change quickly. What a joke.
rjg @ Aug 23rd 2006 8:05PM
Most anticipated xbox360 game for me bar none.
rjg @ Aug 23rd 2006 8:06PM
Yeah, check out the demo, you leave footprints in the snow, amoung other excellent touches done to perfection by capcom.
rjg @ Aug 23rd 2006 8:09PM
Oh, and for those that haven't played the demo, you get to take control of a variety of mech that are really well done (the mech's are very similar to matrix: revolution in look - open cockpit and heavy heavy duty looking. I have to agree with earlier posters - I've played through this demo more than most of the xbox live stuff I bought. Just incredible, can't wait.
uumai @ Aug 23rd 2006 8:22PM
Well I played the demo and it was decent game, i just couldn't get into it, really. Though i know it's a highly anticipated 360 game, and will give the full version a try when it launches.
Ethan @ Aug 23rd 2006 8:30PM
I played the demo, and i didnt like it at all. all this game is, is run 'n gun, with no actual gameplay or soryline at all. To prove that I played the demo (since im sure none of the xbots will believe me) the first level in the demo, is the same level that is shown in the first multiplayer video.
rjg @ Aug 23rd 2006 8:31PM
Hard to know what the story is all about in a 2 level demo. Incidentally I've owned every console made, and plan to own ps3. This game rocks for me, your loss.
thomas_h @ Aug 23rd 2006 8:33PM
i thought capcom / asian dev's in general did'nt have a good trackrecord in the fps genre, so i was not sure what to expect when i first heard about LP, but it seems it's going to be very good.. =D i think i'll buy a 360 again when more good games are out.. sold the first one.
nod @ Aug 23rd 2006 8:36PM
The E3 Demo was amazing. This is the first game I've ever played where it truly felt "cinematic". It was like running through a movie-set. Amazing.
Brandon Konran @ Aug 23rd 2006 8:38PM
Well technically this isnt a FPS, this is a third person shooter, much like MGS. You know how well those asians do with third person shooters!
hey alex @ Aug 23rd 2006 9:39PM
OMG! I've never played the demo, but now I'm thinking I wanna check this out. This looks pretty cool.
Derek @ Aug 23rd 2006 9:52PM
This game looks pretty crappy! The character movement is odd and the interaction with the enviroment is poor. The explosion effects are about the only thing that looked decent.
nate @ Aug 23rd 2006 10:33PM

actually no it's not...therefore proving yourself wrong..good job chief, both videos shown here are the second lvl..the first is the one with the bugs...and really, how many demos really show their storyline, especially one released about a year before it launch?
lord madux @ Aug 23rd 2006 10:36PM
this game dooesnt look to special;i couldnt get into it; im selling my 360;...
SOUNDS LIKE WE GOT SOME ANGRY SONY BOYS HERE- HAHAHAHAH
The game rocks, period- and no u dorks, its not a first person shooter! I cant believe the pathetic posts on this link- you have got to be kidding me. Even fools who havent played the demo are trying to comment on how crappy the game is. TOO BAD BOYS- U WILL FAIL.
To play this game is to love it. only 2 levels in the demo and its a guaranteed purchase for me. so i guess it must be corny, right? ahahahhahahahaahhah you dudes area joke. How about this, ill sell my 360 when i finish it. Does that appease you little boys(xboy, ethan, dumb derek im looking at you turds)
go ahead and sell your 360 so you can play Resistance:Fail at Retail. hahahah. If you dont like the 360 (or just mad because you dont have one, you know who u are), please resist making these foolish posts that are just making you alll look dumber than you sound. everyone already knows it rocks, so its not goign to work. And those that didnt try the demo, just plug your hole with a ps3 article- chew on that crap till you shell out 700 bucks to play a game- hahahhah.
The game is just hot, period. Go ahead and sell you 360, ill buy yours for fifty bucks and a stick of gum you dorks.
i still cant believe it- ahhahahaahha
LOST PLANET IS THE BOMB AND NOTHING CAN SAY WILL CHANGE THAT
i have spoken!

^Play the demo. Or shut up.
a Master Ninja @ Aug 23rd 2006 10:38PM
Sorry, that was for Derek.
dave @ Aug 23rd 2006 11:31PM
You know what I love about this game? The graphics are on par with, if not superior to most if not all PS3 games.
Better than resistance. 22gigs my ass.
Lost_Watcher @ Aug 23rd 2006 11:32PM
I love the Demo and I really wanna get this game.
But the videos shown are using mono sound and kinda killed the audio a good deal.
atomic pond @ Aug 23rd 2006 11:45PM
The demo was great. There was an immense battle with a rolling creature in a cave. The whole game felt very solid and immersive and the graphics were very good.
And that was how many months ago? The full game is sure to be another 360 gem.
t-diddy @ Aug 24th 2006 12:39AM
gamevideos.com is the worst streaming video site evar.
DJ @ Aug 24th 2006 2:05AM
The demo was nothing special. The snow effects were pretty cool, but that was about it. The enemies weren't even smart enough to walk AROUND the pillars to attack me. Like shooting fish in a barrel. I got bored after the whole basement section and just left it alone. Being able to jump through ceiling polygons is just odd; you'd figure next-gen games wouldn't have this old-gen problem. I'm glad they let us demo these titles first.
KilgoreTrout XL @ Aug 24th 2006 9:26AM
LP's the only demo I haven't erased from my HDD either.
Can't really tell why people are down on the graphics- have the naysayers played the demo? Great explosions, great backgrounds, and your charater's animations are fantastic.
The game already seemed practically finished. I'm really surprised that they've been given this much latitude to further improve on a game what was already such a joy to play.
Cheers Capcom- you're on a roll these days.
noob @ Aug 24th 2006 10:02AM
the demo was awesome. now with the multiplayer, I want this game immediately. looks like another winner for capcom.
ubisoft and capcom are now my two favorite 360 publishers.
Evil D @ Aug 24th 2006 10:26AM
@Lost_Watcher & t-diddy
Those weren't direct feed videos. Those were taken with a video camera in front of the TV. You can hear some background noise in the first one.
Monster @ Aug 24th 2006 11:40AM
The game is awesome and insane. I can't remember the last time I played a game this hard; it reminds me a lot of the Metal Slug series. I still haven't been able to beat either boss in the demo. I hope there are continues in the final version...
I'm glad to find out there is multiplayer.
ScottE @ Aug 24th 2006 12:53PM
I played the demo, but gave up on it quickly, mostly because I just got my 360 and I was busy with d/ling all the E3 stuff. After playing Dead Rising and seeing what capcom is capable of on the 360, I'm going to have to give this another download tonight and see what all the hype is about.
VampireHunter Z @ Aug 24th 2006 4:37PM
Lets put it this way. I knew about this game long before the demo. The screen shots looked good but it didn't look like anything special to me. Fast forward to E3 when I d/l the demo. I was like Whoa! I can't believe the explosions. The game is absolutely sick. After playing the demo it was an instant must have. And yes I still have the demo on my HDD.
I should have never doubted Capcom. They are the best.
codemule @ Aug 24th 2006 6:24PM
Anything that Capcom makes lately is gold.
Other publishers should be watching this company. It's going places.
sev4 pri1 @ Aug 28th 2006 3:44AM
can't wait to buy this game. I play the demo every few weeks and each time I find the game more enjoyable, getting into the nuances of attacking crabs in their weak points for maximum damage!
