Happy retro-techno music day

Another Friday, another collection of game music from YouTube. This week's selections don't come from the Legend of Zelda, though, or any other specific game, for that matter. This week we're featuring artists who use the beeps and bloops of classic games to lay down some exquisitely-layered beats.
Continue reading for a Tetris-inspired video (pictured above) from Japanese group YMCK, and live performances from retro-techno DJs 8-bit weapon and nullsleep.

We've written about bitpop quite a few times here on Joystiq. Love the stuff! Nullsleep is awesome.

What a coincidence; I just got YMCK's 1st album "Family Racing" in the mail yesterday.
YMCK rules! I absolutely love their style!

Hey guys, the support is appreciated as always!
Just one clarification to this post -- I think using the term "DJs" is misleading. I'm using the Game Boy as an instrument in order to create completely original music, not remixing any existing game music.
In this sense, I'm no more a "DJ" than a guitarist is.
And just a quick heads-up for anyone in NYC -- tomorrow night I'll playing a show with fellow 8bitpeoples powerhouses Anamanaguchi and The Depreciation Guild. More info here:

I take it back... after looking at some of the stuff on
http://www.8bitpeoples.com some of the stuff on there is pretty good (I'm very picky about music). The stuff by bitshifter is pretty good. I guess I didn't like the 3 videos posted above.
Apologies.
