Look: Assassin's Creed on Xbox 360! [update 1]

4Gamer.net has posted an article (in Japanese) and pictures of an Assassin's Creed presentation, which clearly shows the game (or at least, a title screen) running on Xbox 360 hardware. There's been plenty of speculation concerning Creed's flimsy PS3 exclusivity, including several instances in which the game was allegedly confirmed for Xbox 360, but Ubisoft has yet to make an official announcement regarding Assassin's Creed's final destination(s).
Update: As 'makattack' suggests in the comments section, the Xbox 360 was used at the presentation to demo Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six. In the photo, the Xbox 360 is off, as is the display it's connected to (behind Ubisoft's Claude Langlais). The adjacent display that features the Assassin's Creed logo is apparently playing a video run from a PC. Guess this is more like: "Look: Assassin's Creed next to Xbox 360!"

Check out the full sized version, looks real to me. If it fake they did a good job with the shadow on the left side.

Why would they fake it? The 4gamer article isnt even pointing out the 360's it's joystiq that made the connection and noticed it. If 4gamer had been screaming about the confirmation and that blah blah ye perhaps it would be a fake but the fact is its just an image from them talking that has the screen next to the 360 xdk's

You guys are missing the point, a bit.
This is an Assassin's Creed demonstration... and the 360 is there. Either that picture isn't from the presentation, the presentation wasn't just about AC, or AC is on the 360.
Whether or not the title screen is photoshopped isn't a big deal. The 360 simply being at the presentation is a big deal. It's worth getting a better translation to see if there's an alternate reason why there might be a 360 there.

why do people do this. they aren't doing the game or the 360 and favours. Same with all this Wii BS that keeps flying around (oh didn't you hear, the Wii has a new triple core cpu).
All they are doing is setting the game and 360 up for failure.

why joystiq put up this pic? I could understand putting up the fake nintendo dossier for comedic purposes, but this seems to serve nothing more but to inflame another orgy between fanboys.
btw, it's dodgy pic where you could spot few jaggies. Or the 360s were for the screen on the right of chubby chap.

UbiSoft was demo'ing a video of AC from a PC... the XBox360s were used to demo Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six. They're on two different tables.

This is total Photoshop BS, everyone knows Kitten Fighter Alpha is exclusive to the Wii. I just hope it makes launch, otherwise where will I get my Kitten Fighter fix? I'm still worried about the accuracy of the "paw jab to backclaw combo" being controlled with gestures instead of buttons.

Well that pic might be fake but Assassin's Creed is coming to Xbox 360, Wii and even PSP. It will be a multiplatform game just like Prince of Persia series. I know it's not official but just trust me.
The reason Ubi haven't announced it yet on other platforms is simple: "timed exclusive".

Assassin's Creed will likely come to the 360, eventually. But it will launch first on the PS3.
Why are people so freakin excited about this game? I mean, it looks cool but nobody has played it and won't for quite some time. I hope it comes to 360, PC, and PS3, but part of me hopes it flops just to see how people react.

I don't see why so many people are making a big deal out of Assassin's Creed being an exclusive title. If it does...then it does. The 360 got GRAW all to itself from Ubi and it was a great game (the PS2/XBOX versions were totally different). However, one has to look at this situation and think nothing more than how foolish ubi would be (or any other company for that matter) not to release this game for 360. It is OBVIOUS that there is a large demand for AC on 360, seeing as how everything something like this gets posted hundreds of hopeful 360 owners come out of the woodwork to express there joy. Not to mention the game was originally announced as coming to "next gen consoles" at MICROSOFT'S X05 event. I'm not sure why they would change after all this time.
Then, on the otherhand, the AC official website only lists Playstation 3 as a platform the game is coming to. When you take everything into account there is only one way that this game could be a PS3 exclusive...Sony paid for it to be for a limited time (i.e. GTA games going to XBOX 1 year later). End of story. A company wouldn't change course THAT late in the development of a game (one year) and decide to completely drop an entire consumer base for the game and decide to go exclusive on another unless there was some sort of outside force or encouragement. It just doesn't make sense. The only other explanation I could think of would be that there were issues with programming for the 360, but that sounds even more far fetched than this photo.
Ubisoft has a history of being a company that does pretty much nothing but cross-platform games. I don't see any reason why they would change that now. If they had no plans of releasing a 360 version of AC, they would have said something by now. I'm just curous what they are keeping so damn quiet about.

This photo is fake but it's 100% sure AC will come to the 360, maybe after the PS3 but we'll definitely play AC on our 360. Moore confirm it at X05 last year and many times we heard rumours that they demo it on the 360.

Actually, Assassins Creed HAS IN FACT been shown running in real time...it was at the Microsoft X05 Trade Show when this game was still called, "Project Assassins."
Two trade shows remain this year: The Tokyo Game Show, and the Microsoft X06, which will be in Spain this year. Microsoft will show all of the Japanese products like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Phantasy Star Universe, Sega Rally, Golden Axe, and many others at the Tokyo Game Show. We may even hear some new announcements that were previously unannounced on purpose, just so they get a lot of hype in Japan.
As far as the Microsoft X06 Trade Show geos, I think that is when we will learn a lot more about games like Halo 3, Project Assassins/Assassins Creed, Killer Instinct 360, and many other new games previously unannounced.
