Saints Row multiplayer troubles?

well i haven't been able to get a MP game going or get into one yet...seems kinda haphazard to me.

I had a problem with the gangs, It would not let me create a gang.

absolutely. This game's online problems are downright unacceptable. I must say, however, that there has been less problems for me today than last night (or maybe I am getting used to them, which is never a good thing)

so far I've had:

problems joining parties
problems getting people to join my parties
unacceptable lag, players and cars disappearing and reappearing in random places(in online games of 2v2 even)
constant 360 lockups (which force resets)

I think my gang and I have found a workaround for the party joining problems. When you make a party, send you friends and invite using the GUIDE rather than the in-game party invite system and you should get better results.

Now, before you decide to hold off on buying saints row, I must add that even with all of the problems, online play is a blast. I will also add that it will be a real threat to Halo 2 once the online problems are fixed. Yeah, that's right, I said it. And I'm a Halo fanboy.

Pick this game up. Wait for the patch. Enjoy

Saints Row has a multiplayer aspect to the game? Why wasn't I told about this...

Saints Row is an amazing game if you play it for a wile. There are some lag issues though such as people appearing and disapearing.Anther problem is that you cant hear gunshots when theyre behind you sometimes. Still its a great game to enjoy.

I was seriously planning on perchasing this game because I thought the demo was so good, but after hearing this I'm gonna back off, either not buy it at all or wait till a patch comes out or something and buy it used,

All my friends have it that I play with online and they all can't creakt a room or do half the stuff online. Sounds buggy as hell to me. I'm going to wait untill a patch comes out. Man whats with all these games needing to be patched. What on earth were they doing the whole time.

yea its pretty bad, i tried to play one online game and it was all choppy and laggy.
you cant even aim on one person.

I can't believe that every game that comes out for the 360 has freakin' online issues. Even the XBLA games (read: SFII). What kind of quality control do they have? If Sony can resolve these types of problems the PS3 will beat the 360 on that fact alone.

PS: No, I'm not a fanboy.
