Oy Vei... Can we just assume that it is gonna be on the 360, and just be done with it? It's Ubi Soft. Ubisoft and Microsoft have had a good relationship. I think it's safe to say that ubisoft isn't in the market of neglecting the xbox anytime in the near future :p

I am just laughing cause you realize that the main people that are advertising this game are the fanboys in the forums. I mean it looks like a great game, but I bet you that they have hardly paid a dime on advertising so far. Not to mention that they got paid by Sony for a timed exclusive. More or less its rather ironic.

*Sony pays for the product to be a timed exclusive.
*The debate on which platform its coming out rages on. And so far Sony has spent money on advertising.
*Why as no one from Microsoft reconfirmed that its coming to the x360?? I mean they should know, its not like Ubisoft will release the title and Microsoft will say "Oh hey thanks, had no Idea that you were making it for our console."

So I can say that for the PS3 owners.. It just proves how much wishful thinking goes on, and how much lack of logic there is with the Sony Fanboy. I am sure Ubisoft can't wait to sell to a potential 2 million user base. Cause last I checked Microsoft will have 8-10 million user base then. Not to mention its about 5-6 million right now, and people are making a big deal about selling 500K copies of Dead Rising. I mean the math is right there. If Ubisoft sells AC to the x360 they can have a guaranteed 2 million + sales on the x360 side and not have to sweat a thing. With the PS3 it wont be the same especially with the high investment just to get the system. Not many people will buy 3-4 games for the PS3, cause it will cost too much. So your odds of 2 million copies to the PS3 are significatly lower. I would say that they will sell 500K easily of AC, but I would also think that they could get as much as 1 million sold for the PS3 as well.

There was an article on GamesIndustry.biz a few months ago....it had an interview with one of the head hanchos at Ubisoft. In the interview the head hancho was touting that Ubisoft was aiming to become the 2nd largest game publisher behind EA. If you know anything about EA...their strategy to success has been to release Titles on as many platforms as possible and as frequently as possible (ie...yearly updates...quick sequel follow ups..etc.)

Ubisoft has consistently release titles on all platforms...and this time around the 360 will have the largest install base by far. So to ignore a title for the 360 would be absurd at this point. So of course Ubisoft is going to bring this game to the 360. Much like Rockstar only announced the next GTA for the 360 at E3...but everyone knows it will also be out for the PS3...Ubisoft simply has not made an announcement for the 360...which is just about as close to confirming it as you can get. They have never said there will be no 360. In fact the game was shown for the first time on a 360 and their website at one point had the 360 listed as one of the platforms.

At worst this will be a timed exclusive...but I don't even think that will happen.

Although I can see Sony being desperate to hold this Title as exclusive even for a short period of time being that their Launch day and holiday lineup is not looking all that impressive up against the 360's library of titles this Winter.

sputnik - say what?

Another note -
On the 360 Magazine website, if you click on latest issue, it says "Next Issue: 5 October 2006"
That's about a week or so after X06/TGS,
so it seems like they might be planning on revealing it then. Hence the "hush-hush".
