Halo 3: Blinded by the light
14
Ok, it's not quite like tracking Dark Side of the Moon with the Wizard of Oz, but some guy added the Manfred Mann's Earth Band version of "Blinded by the Light" to the Halo 3 trailer. Why, I don't know. The "revved up like a douche" line still doesn't make any sense.

Maybe revved up like a 'douche', is a reference to the dusenberg car from the past: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dusenberg pretty powerful cars.

That's right, "anonymous music nerd" is correct. Maybe before posting something like that you should do a little research... or not.

The correct lyric is "deuce". And to add more trivia to this little conversation, it was written by Bruce Springsteen. Check it out: http://www.brucespringsteen.net/songs/BlindedByTheLight.html

I believe that the correct lyric is:
"There'll be no Blu-Ray TRUCE..."
Strangely prophetic now isn't it. The Boss knows all!

Last night, my friends and I were trying to figure out what that line was too! We couldn't understand why they were talking about a douche.

Technically, it IS supposed to be "deuce," but we all know what he's really saying.
"Maybe before posting something like that you should do a little research... or not."
Of course, you could just wait until someone takes something a bit too seriously. ;)

Thank you intelligent XB360 Fanboy readers. And i hardly believe it is a joke. Its a common misconception in the lyrics. The line is a refernece to spooning :)

I liked the car explanation better. What is a deuce anyway, and why do you wrap it? I always wondered(from deuce Ex) I thought it was pronouned like 2 in french, so I kept making fun of it because I called it do-sex instead of de-us-ex. Anyyyywaaaay, I don;t care what the explanation is, someone along th eline must have heared, why didn;t he say somthing. Why is this guy singing if he has a lisp? Is this the first time someone thought he was talking about douches? And maybe you are all wrong AND right, and it is actually "Wrapped up like a douche" which makes a lot more sense... Well... The world may never know(or you could find th elyrics online, whatever...)

Wrong aspect ratio. I believe the original was 2.21:1.
