10 Am new york 9/14 = 3pm london 9/14 =11 pm tokyo 9/14

so yeah its possible

I say from that pic that the time is off by an hour but given the ds success in japan a midnight announcement doesnt sound like something crazy to me!!!

I really don't care whether they reveal a release date. It'll come out when it comes out, and nothing will change that (hopefully). As long as I get my Wii by the end of this year, I'm happy :D

24:

You know, I wouldn't be too surprised if Nintendo had something lined up with the Today show, since the Today studio just happens to be in the same building as the Nintendo World Store in New York City.

Three BIG press events within 24hrs of eachother, on a GLOBAL scale. THIS IS THE LAUNCH! Nintendo is going all Steve Jobs on us by announcing a product launch the same day it launches (think ipod, or just about anything apple does!) I'm calling a mid-september launch date for Wii.

14. "Nintendo is going to shock us with this release. I don't know anything particularly, but I feel that come Sept 14-15 Nintendo will give us the launch information. That information will be that the Nintendo is going to release the system on or around the first week of October. This is the best thing that I think could possibly happen. Store will get what they get, there will be little to no time for reservations, and it will cause a panic for the system launching it into the holiday's number 1 must have gift, and thus creating a hype the like of which we haven't been a part of since the tickle me elmo, and the furby.

This will be the ultimate slap in the face to the game retailers salivating over your reservation dollars, and hopefully show them that the reservation system isn't the be all and end all."

You're stupid, the Wii's wireless isn't even finished yet (I Know this for a fact), so how can they get it all ready by the first week of october?

A couple of things:

A. Nintendo will reveal everything at the three events, hands down. Why wouldn't they?

B. Nintendo will not be at TGS.

C. I can't f-ing wait for the Wii.

My biggest hopes are that they will announce a firm release date, the sooner the better, they will announce titles that will be avaiable on the same day it goes on sale, and that the quanities won't be limited.

Okay, maybe I'm just a stupid chick, but where can I find the live coverage of the press event? I've looked at all my usual spots, and nothing. Japan is supposed to start any minute, right? Am I completely wrong?

I'm starting to get a little nervous here...

To Funkyrat, post #59,
I know for a fact that the release date will NOT be the 14th or 15th. I work at a retail store and I've been in the electronics backroom TODAY (9/13)(in which I found the DS lite WEEKS before its release) and there is not a single sign of a Wii anywhere. Now unless Nintendo is planning on over-night shipping worldwide..(which I seriously doubt). there is virtually NO possiblity of a september release date. Plus they only started manufaturing a week and a half ago... I'm predicting an early October release date for Japan and an early November release for USA, sorry all you folks in the UK, I have no predictions for you :(.
