Dead Rising secrets to quench that zombie thirst

If you find yourself with nothing to do on this extended Labor Day weekend, why not spend that down time exploring even more secrets hidden inside Dead Rising? There's a good walkthrough up on GameVideos of a few of the secrets you may not have found yet while sawing your way through thousands of rotting mall folk.
Is it a surprise to anyone else that so much can happen inside of one mall? It seems like every week there's some new nugget of Dead Rising info to ooze out into the gaming public.

Why did they need the 'secrets' voice over between every cut? The guy doing it wasnt even any good.
BklynKid @ Sep 2nd 2006 12:19PM
These are no secrets to those of us who been playing the game hardcore since it came out.
I'm now only down 2 achievements.
CapitalJigga @ Sep 2nd 2006 12:08PM
Pretty good, though I dont think I would go to all that touble to get the sub-machine gun
Max @ Sep 2nd 2006 12:14PM
I thought it was kind of funny.

The video is cool, but the "secrets" gets really annoying really fast.

That video was awesome. :'(

Yeah, I put in 10 hours in found out all of that stuff.
Too bad I had to return the game (I rented it), I only needed the survive 5 and 7 days achievements. Oh, wait, that might be a secret too...
On a bright side though, if anyone is reading this and hasn't picked up D.R., you are really missing out.

the "secrets" thing is from conan o'brien's "secrets" segments

That was informative and funny. I liked it. Thanks Joystiq.

Ahh, nuts, I was just going to say that.
Conan's the man.

I didn't find the "secrets" schtick as annoying as the guy's voice popping every other second. I guess he's just a late bloomer...

Awesome a new nugget of dead rising each week. I'd enjoy finding them if the game worked when I have my hard drive attached. MS's solution try anothter copy of the game. I tried 3 same problem. New solution buy a memory card. Don't think so, If a publisher cna't get it working on the 360 with the hard drive attached they should overnight me a memory unit rather than offer shelling out another $30 as the solution to thier problem.

I just wish the subpar controls for this game hadn't ruined it for me. all the content is awesome, but I'm not going to wade through hours of fairly unresponsive controls to get to it.
in unrelated news, has anyone picked up Enchanted Arms? gamefly's got it coming, but the reviews I've read aren't positive. anyone tried it?

I thought the SECRETS whispering was hilarious.
One correction, though: It's way, way easier to spin the Servbot head at the toystore with the waterguns right next to it than by slowly punching it.

here's a tip: don't bother using firearms on spec-ops. The melee weapons--katana, battleaxe, even the common kitchen cleaver--will take a spec-op down in maybe 2 swipes, or even less when your level is high.

Conezone FTW!
Osiris @ Sep 2nd 2006 6:09PM
Wild Homes, don't get it.

Wild Homes,
We ran a post about Enchanted Arms the other day and got a few responses from people who've picked it up. Hope it helps.

I picked up Enchanted Arms Wednesday... big mistake. That game is terrible, as is the battle system. Luckily I work at an EB, so was able to swap it out for Xenosaga 3.
