Isn't Okami supposed to come out this week?
Silver R. Wolfe @ Sep 4th 2006 10:59AM
Nope, September 19th.
Jason W @ Sep 4th 2006 11:03AM
Maybe test drive....Who knows. So many good games lately.

"3 great games for girls"
if that ain't some direct marketing i don't know what is,.....
yay for loco roco!
Critop @ Sep 4th 2006 11:09AM
Yakuza is probably worth a mention, no?. Just recall seeing alot of posters for it (a an with his back turned or so).
potato @ Sep 4th 2006 11:11AM
YAY!!
Roco LOCO!!

Loco Roco bombed in its Japanese release. Sony spent millions advertising this game in Japan, and created a PSP bundle featuring the game. This game was hyped as Sony's first direct attack on DS-style "fun" games. And it's already sitting in Japanese bargain bins.

Loco Roco is just now hitting the US market? Funny, I beat it last week in English, in the US, thank god for emulation.. Its a pretty ingenius game, tons of fun and actually seems designed for the PSP like Lumines but unlike almost every other game on the system..

Hey, I love the "Games Shipping this week" posts but how about a link to each respective game websites?

Thats not Emulation. Thats Theft.

so japan didn't like loco roco that much, so what? i enjoyed the demo, played it 8 times over and it's a game i know >> I
alienclay @ Sep 4th 2006 2:21PM
...want, i don't pride my self on having the same gaming tastes as the japanese.

"Thats not Emulation. Thats Theft."
Yeah, but with all the shitty games being released, it's almost theft on the developers part when you buy a game that's not as promised.
Token @ Sep 5th 2006 4:24PM
Oh god you're right botox boy, that is THEFT! I actually took money out of the hands of the sony corporate structure by playing a game I would never have bought anyway. The simple fact is that the homebrew & warez market has been the only motivating force behind the PSP for the last year. After Sony fanboys bought theirs in the first week of launch there hasnt been a continuing market. I mean look how well the UMD Movie concept worked. I bought mine simply BECAUSE of the options available. Certainly not so I could buy some of the worst designed games EVER for $49.99 a pop.
ogvor @ Sep 4th 2006 5:12PM
Silver R. Wolfe, when was Okami pushed back!!!!??!?!? I've been waiting for that game for SO LONG. Guess I'll jsut pick up Yakuza to tied myself over...

not emulation, your playing a psp game on a psp. Your not emulating another system.
I try to buy at least a few games a month. Why? Because I can and I support the developers.
Cutty @ Sep 4th 2006 10:01PM
LocoRoco and Yakuza are the two top titles (ooh, alliteration) from the list. Of course, I'm British and I already have LocoRoco. =D
Ahem, it's an amazing game and, unlike many PSP titles, feels like it was moulded around the system. PSP owners need this!
Psaakyrn @ Sep 5th 2006 8:45AM
I'm just curious, how is loco Roco moulded around the system? I can see how having crispier graphics would help, but are there any other advantages/tweaks from PSP that it uses?
