Been playing the crap out of my PSP this past weekend. I got Megaman: Maverick Hunter X and was enjoyin' myself some good ol' fashioned Megaman. Unlocked Vile and got addicted to playing as him too.
Toss in a little Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth for taste and so far my weekend has been pretty wrapped up. And delicious too, I might add.
eric j. @ Sep 4th 2006 10:27AM
Chris G. shockingly resembles Alton Brown. is he guest chef-ing your BBQ..? and i don't even see ribs anywhere!
Jon R @ Sep 4th 2006 10:28AM
Playing an unhealty amount of Star Fox and Saints Row, Saints is addictive, but I am the one grilling today so I have to stop playing for at least an hour or two_ happy Labor day, and if you are working today that defies the meaning
AJ @ Sep 4th 2006 10:28AM
Hmmmm... Don't know who Chris G is, but he sure looks like Alton Brown in that picture :)
Adam @ Sep 4th 2006 2:13PM

For any griefers out there, let's just enjoy the day and talk about what brings us to Joystiq in the first place. Some good ol' fashioned gaming.
Bye the way, this weekend has been a free weekend. I'm still lovin' that link to Jay is Games. Great free site. Well, have a happy Monday to all, because come Tuesday, darryl will mess up the fun. (just joking)!
Dench @ Sep 4th 2006 10:44AM
And Adam Sessler.
UNCCShannon @ Sep 4th 2006 10:46AM
Well I don't know about that being Chris G, but if your having ribs well I guess you could call those good eats!
Cheesy @ Sep 4th 2006 10:53AM
Alton!
daxter1985 @ Sep 4th 2006 10:57AM
what happened to the 360 camera article that was posted after/before this one were you guys not suppose to show us that stuff?
C. Grant @ Sep 4th 2006 11:00AM
daxter1985, it's coming. Timestamped wrong, wasn't quite ready to go.
ECUnlimited @ Sep 4th 2006 11:06AM
I've been quite addicted to Guild Wars lately. That and playing Star Fox Command.
Guest @ Sep 4th 2006 3:39PM
Half Life 2 Deathmatch. Enough said.
daxter1985 @ Sep 4th 2006 11:11AM

PhoenixJ @ Sep 4th 2006 11:26AM
SOYLENT GRE...CHRIS G IS ALTON!
msdarnell @ Sep 4th 2006 11:36AM
Alton Brown graduated from the same culinary school as me.
He spoke at the school too. In fact, I could still get a job at the test kitchen in Atlanta if I wanted.
How does this relate to gaming?
It just does.
brandon_r87 @ Sep 4th 2006 12:32PM
I just got a PS2 like a week ago so I picked up Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty for $5! Score! So I'll be playing that, Shadow of the Colossus, Guitar Hero, and might revisit Dead Rising. And might replay some of Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker as I just got my Gamecube set up again.
Karen @ Sep 4th 2006 12:28PM
I've been playing Star Fox Command all weekend. It reminds me of Star Wars: Rogue Squadron games.
The Wifi been a blast. I've never yelled at my DS so much during any other game. It's also been raining all weekend, it's nice to have something fun to play.
puh_fifer @ Sep 4th 2006 12:33PM
I played the crap out of saints row and beat it. I won't spoil the ending for anyone but it sucks. Also, make sure you're saving often, because I didn't and got kicked from the end of the game to my last save half way through killing the rollers.
Now I'm trudging through my mandatory one season of Madden so I can make Da Raidas actually win. I really wish there was an NFL 2k7 right now.
Dr.Swiss @ Sep 4th 2006 12:47PM
I just installed Ubuntu on my laptop so I'll be playing bzflag online all day.
GTgamer @ Sep 4th 2006 12:55PM
How does Alton Brown relate to gaming? Simple...he's based in Atlanta which is the location of Georgia Tech, one of the top 10 gaming universities according to the Global Gaming League as recently reported here on Joystiq...
http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/31/top-10-gaming-colleges/
I think Kevin Spacey is in the chain somewhere too. Plus, Alton Brown is simply awesome...that's enough reason right there.
Blurb @ Sep 4th 2006 1:02PM
Alton Brown frickin' rocks! And with no food their would be no gaming, end of story.
therpham @ Sep 4th 2006 1:07PM
I've been playing a lot of Guitar Hero with my floormates this weekend. Unfortunately, we don't get today off. I've already had two class and have two more coming up. How sad.
rodan32 @ Sep 4th 2006 1:39PM
Hot Shots Golf on my PSP, SimCity 4 on the PC, and I tried out the DarkStar One demo. My stupid friend borrowed my PS2, or it would have been all guitar hero.
GTgamer @ Sep 4th 2006 2:43PM
"we celebrate Labour Day too you ignorant patriots!"
yeah...and we celebrate "Labor" day...and we don't want to hear about your huge mass either.
The point is, lighten up. :)
BrokenMonkey @ Sep 4th 2006 2:59PM
Totally been playing Dead Rising trying to get Frank to Level 50. It's only my second time through but I'm up to Level 46 already. And aren't you guys lucky to have a clone of Alton Brown at your barbecue.
alex @ Sep 4th 2006 3:16PM
i've been playing magical pop'n on snes which i'd like to let everyone out there know is a ridiculously good platforming game that plays sort of like a watered down combination of castletroid/megaman and some of that japanese mid 90s super nintendo magic. its definately one of the best games i've played in a long time so if you have the means do so you should check it out
Jordan Hass @ Sep 4th 2006 5:41PM
So Chris G. is making Good Eats, and Feasting on Asphalt this Labor Day?
Anyway Our Secret Ingrident Today is...
*DUN *DUH*! *DUN DUH!*
Saints Row!
ogvor @ Sep 7th 2006 5:03PM
Purchased Shadow Hearts: Covenant for PS2 and playing way more of it than I should. Also "borrowing" StarFox Command from my little bother. The best part of owning my DS Lite is that I practically get 3 times as many games by suggesting games to my little borthers and then "borrowing" them when their not playing them.
OTAM @ Sep 4th 2006 8:30PM
I finally got all the achievements for Hitman: Blood Money :)
warren @ Sep 4th 2006 9:59PM
i looks like alton to me.
josh @ Sep 5th 2006 3:11PM
I want an Alton Brown fanboy site.
bladev1 @ Sep 5th 2006 7:56AM
I finished Dead Rising and Elder Scrolls, but I got pulled back into an old game I haven’t played in a while. Halo2 Bitches, Still rocks!!!!!!!! Im visiting Old classics, CTF, Assault, DeathMatch, and some new ones, Zombies, Tower of Power, Hide and Seek. Master Chief Still owns you N00bs!!!
clo1_2000 @ Sep 5th 2006 10:18AM
I've been playing through Enchanted Arms. The game is a solid JRPG. Good graphics, good animations, the story is ok, but the characters are fun to see develop. Thanks goodness they allow JPN voices with subtitles, the English voice over work is horrendous.
Ryan @ Sep 5th 2006 10:21AM
So, does Chris always barbeque with a lapel mic on his shirt?
"We'll put the burgers on the grill and walk away. Just walk away! Your patience will be rewarded."
Blackmoon @ Sep 5th 2006 4:29PM
Source Forts, Counter Strike: Source, Rise of Legends, and Gmod..
I think thats all the games I played this weekend.
