New PSP hack gets downgrader, e-Loader

The PSP homebrew community continues to work with blazing speed to add new features to Sony's portable. Since last week's revelation that allowed homebrew code to be run without a UMD on firmware up to version 2.8, hackers have released a firmware downgrader (that works on firmware up to version 2.71) and an e-Loader (for firmware up to version 2.6). These exploits allow PSP users to run a wide variety of tools, homebrew games and emulators on systems with more recent firmware. Be careful, though, the downgrader has been known to brick PSPs if the detailed process is not followed exactly.
