VG Cats' Spore creatures brought to life

Will Wright, Inc. have a giant man-crush on VG Cats. It all started after the webcomic made a strip about the worst-case scenarios of Spore's creature-making system, entitled "Wright to Life." The folks at Maxis caught wind of the comic and revised the comic, replacing every hand-drawn creature with accurate depictions made in-game.

If that was not awesome enough, Maxis this week sent VG Cats author Scott Ramsoomair Spore figurines identical to his creations. You can view pictures (compliments of Scott's mom) here. How's that for customer service?

Will Wright is so awesome. I will cry if we can't do that "pay money to get plastic versions of our creatures" service, I will *gladly* spend twenty, thirty, forty dollars for a little guy of my own. :(

Haha, thats brilliant! Shame they couldn't get the expression on the comic guy's face. Still, must've been fantastically cool for the VG cats guys to receive that!

@ #7 Yeah the comic is a few months old, but the figurines are new. Looks like you didn't make it to the 2nd paragraph.

It's like all the potential good in EA is sucked into this Will Wright vortex, as the rest of the company becomes more and more twisted, Will Wright and co just get more and more awesome.

You do realize what this implies don't you? the poops to see monster might mean you could actually add butts to your creations. If this is the case... I sudder to think of the creations that shall come from my warped sense of humor. Man, I really can't wait for this game.
