*shivers* I remember beating both Link: Faces of Evil and Zelda: Wand of Gamelon as a kid... can't these things just die as gracefully as abominations such as they can? *sobs* the nightmares are returning... can't they let me sleep?

Hahahaha...Gux's is great. As for the animation, I thought that it was pretty well-done. It's nothing like the animation in the CD-I games, for the record (and that's a good thing).

NOOO, THE NIGHTMARES ARE BACK!

Actually, when you're a kid you can't really tell good games from bad games most of the time. You just play whatever is in your reach... The worst part of it was probably playing with that stupid CD-I remote control. Ugh... it's like playing any other videogame with your standard remote control.

Wow. All those shitty games, and no mention of Majora's Mask? That was easily the worst (read it again if you think you're mistaken) of the Nintendo Zelda games. It was so awful that it created an entirely new realm of bad: Somewhere below getting fired and above eating 10-day-old carrion.

Crap, that was horrible (the games, not the flash remix. that was great). How the hell could Nintendo let such horrible things be made?

to #6 Squeedom

Actually, I thought it was the "excuse me, princess" thing which made Nintendo decide to make Link mute, but this works too. c.c

Just for the record, those games were NOT made by Nintendo. They're the putrid remnants of a business deal that didn't go through. Long story short, Nintendo licensed the Zelda characters to Philips when the two were in the midst of creating a CD add-on for the SNES. When the Sega CD went under, Nintendo got spooked and pulled out of the deal. Philips went ahead and released what became the CD-i and then made liberal use of the Zelda license they'd temporarily acquired.
Ugh. I'd never actually seen them in action...but it is truly a horrific site. After watching all 4 of those videos in a row, it will take me the rest of the weekend to get the taste of vomit out of back of my throat.
(The flash video was amusing though.)

I never played the CD-I games, and now I'm glad. Did Nintendo really make them? I never heard of the console besides from these Zelda games, what was it?

The hand movements while talking! Is THIS what inspired the same thing with resident evil? "I can't wait to bomb some dodongos!" becomes "Wait! don't open that door!" ...It saddens me that those games were ever made. Poor link, they would've been so much better if they would've used clips from the Cartoon show. That would've been pretty cool... with some "Well Excuuuuuuse me, Princess!" going on.

Those abombonations are not made by the Big N they were made by Philips because the CD-I was suppsoed to be a CD attachment for the SNES but Nintendo wanted out but they screwed up and Philips had the rights to the Nintendos games

I hope you played it untill the end, and not with the slow-time-function :D
I found it pretty good. Except from the easy bosses (not the fish, he was evil), it was a damn good game. I really liked the fresh concept of 3 days time, and no more.

kite: yes, I played it through. Can you name one of the Nintendo Zelda games that was worse (excluding Game Boy; I haven't played any of those). And don't say Wind Waker. That's such a pathetic purist cop out.

It's one thing to read that they're bad. It's another entirely to actually see the footage. That transcends the bounds of bad.
