Ze Frank talks video games, we laugh
Video from internet gadabout (and host of the excellent The Show) Ze Frank's speech at the 2004 TED conference (Technology, Entertainment, Design) has been making the rounds and, despite our appreciation for performance readings of spam, it was his video game demos that we're interested in sharing with you.
For starters, he throws some numbers at us (did you realize the industry makes over $100K/year?) before walking us through three games titled Atheist, Buddhist, and Christian. Think they look like fun, try em out yourselves! Check out the entire embedded video after the break, or jump directly to his segment on video games here:

Very funny talk, though I don't know how relevant it was to the videogame world. I don't wish I had those 20 minutes back though, so I guess the post gets a thumbs up from me

XD, those games were awesome.

No replay indeed.
Though I have to admit that the Buddhism one at least made me chuckle.

Stupid. A "videogame" version of a tired joke. Hardly noteworthy. Oh, this guys is a comedian... ha. Still stupid.
Like Nick Dunn up there, I'd like my wasted time back.

@5
now, if you read Nick's post just a little bit more carefully you would find he didn't want his 5 minutes back. Guess schools need to spend more time on reading comprehension.
If this guy din't at least make you smile you have no sense of humour.

@6, Steve
I just have to point out that Nick (#1) actually didn't want his 20 minutes back (you said 5). Guess it's a little easy to misread from time to time.
I loved the Atheist game, and the Buddhism one was a chuckle, however, for some reason the Christian one didn't seem to work properly (either that or I missed the joke big time).
Carlos @ Sep 11th 2006 4:58AM
Yamen, the joke about Christian was that you choose your destiny, but the game (God) determines the wait and outcome (as Ze said, "a predermined time interval from one to five million". I personally love 'Athiest' when I saw it years ago.
Ze Frank is awesome :)
