What use is Joystiq if you can't even report on the hottest thing on the interwebs right now.

So... GWN just started live blogging a press event that was from FOUR MONTHS AGO. Looks like they're the new Joystiq.

I don't understand this post.... is it an attempt at another 'megabomb' or whatever Summa did? Is this Summa under a new alias?

If you can't update on the event everyone has been waiting for, then you're about as useful as a deli sandwich, Joystiq

The fruit poster's pretty stupid. At least the deli sandwich is trying.

If you want a copy of the poster, you should probably just take a picture of yourself holding some food, and Photoshop out the background.

As for Joystiq not saying anything about the press conference NOT happening right now...yeah...that's real un-professional of them not to have up to the minute comments on a hoax. For shame... :P

everyone attacking joystiq: you are aware that no conference has started yet, right? How can they be covering something that hasn't begun?

To be fair to joystiq, it isn't like anyone else is updating on the conference. Maybe there is a gag order we don't know about, or maybe gaming journalsim just isn't high end enough yet to afford live coverage around the world. I'm as upset about this as anyone, but it's not like joystiq is the only one keeping us in the dark. frankly, I'd expect a bigger player like IGN to be there, not a blog site, but I guess they are not.

Hmm, apparently the MAN (iwata) is trying to censor me. Joystiq lost my last post theorizing that ... Intendo-nay has cut off the entire Internet-way between Apan-jay and America-way so no news about the Ii-way Eaks-lay before the Onference-cay Omorrow-tay.

Poor Europe-way will be cut off for more than entire day!

Oh, it just showed up in my inbox... nevermind. uhm. Bah!

When Joystiq reported the time and date, they could have also said that foreign (read: US and Europe) press wasn't invited to the event.

Jesus you guys are retarded. This is what they call a blog post. This particular news article has nothing to do with the Nintendo press event being held in Japan right now. So shut up about this blue balls stuff.

I don't think Joystiq is responsible for the shattering of your false assumptions. I'm totally against the firing of their employee on their part and I'm twice as offended that you all demand that they hold up their part of some "bargain". And I think they've learned how dire the consequences can be when making promises of grandeur to diluted and rabid readers; then failing to uphold whatever utter delusion of expectation the reader may have.

For Christ's sake, shut the hell up. These people are working their asses off for you. For you! They aren't a malicious group of pranksters. It is in their interest to serve you what they know as soon as they know it (provided the information isn't barred from release).

So with this in mind, I thank the entire crew of dedicated Joystiq.com staff members for their tireless efforts to maintain a reputation of punctual and accurate stories.

Superfood - my sentiments exactly, +2 stars for you! The 'outrage' last time was pretty silly too, all because it wasnt some fantastic new feature fanboys had been dreaming of. Some of you guys take this stuff way too seriously.

NO ONE wants to know that Scrabble is available on ....well, at all, or about feet and whatever this one is about. That's not why anyone is checking Joystiq tonight. Might as well save that post for when there's no more Wii info, in about a week.

Hello everybody.

Matt here from GamePaused.

My friend rob and I designed these posters to show how creative the new nintendo consoles made us.

Nintendo=tasty

Everybody who has commented on this post seems really hungry for the nintendo wii and ds. This is exactly the concept we have presented.

Quality photographty, A1 sized, word play and a strong concept - I dont understand all the negative comments. While everybody is moaning wanting new nintendo news, we used our time better to create something to inspire you, the gaming community.

We had a similar backlash with the gamepaused book and dvd concept, and the exhibition. Can't anybody see the fun in Creative Gaming? They say creativity is the most important thing with games, so why cant gamers recognise it?

I think people should think about what gaming means to them, and what it gives them. What do you want- A poster with some ripped off mario image or something that goes a bit further, something that takes reference from gaming and turns it on its head?

Nothing more to say.

Matt
