HEY HEY HEY! What's this about the Opera Browser being an OPTION!? At the bottom, when mentioning the Opera Browser, in paranthesis it reads OPTION.

what's that rpg in the video?

The Link versus Knight battle looks to be worth the price of the system alone.

Are those scenes from Resident Evil?

And yes that old guy conducting frightens me.

@301

By my rudimentary knowledge of Japanese, there will be a RE game for Wii: "Biohazard: Umbrella Chronicles" is the current name as seen in the video.

There was definitely "Biohazard Umbrella Chronicles" in the promo video. That's what he's referring to, and that's the Resident Wiivil.

310-

Sorry for being late. I've been unable to keep up with game news the past few days and never been particularly interested in RE. A friend mentioned that he saw something that looked like RE in the video, I got to the part, paused it, and read blahblah katakana for the name.

Calm down.

320: Oh god, if that would happen, I'd pay way more than $5-10 for that VC game. (Since it would still be a lot cheaper than tracking down a physical copy.)

I know there hasn't been any announcement on it, but I want to know if Nintendo will be releasing virtual box art and manuals along with the VC games, a la Sonic Mega Collection. That would really sweeten the deal.

Meh, I'm hoping it gets sold without a game as well. I'd be more excited with a $200 price tag than a $250 one that includes a game I don't really care about.

As for the $5 for a Nes game, it's a virtual marketplace, I'm sure if sales are low they'll lower the price. I personally wouldn't mind having the entire Splatterhouse series on one system. I think the VC will do well for all those games we missed and never played and all those games we just plain miss.

Wow, the Wii appears to be so much more than just a beefed up GameCube with a new controller. The news, weather, internet, mail, etc. really sweeten the deal. Can't wait to see some sort of official announcement regarding North American launch date/price. In the meantime, it's all just internet conjecture... the same fluff we've been wading through for the past few months.

Is it old news that the wii-mote is non-rechargable and uses AA batteries? Because I'm terribly disappointed by this.I don't want to have to keep buying new batteries for my controller. What if it dies on me,mid-game and I don't have any batteries in the house? Will I even be able to pause the game?

Sebastian, at least since it's not a Lithium-ion battery it won't EXPLODE IN YOUR HAND! (see that Mac controversy a week or two ago)

Can anyone answer for me, with that avatar maker, why did the person make like, over 100 avatars? With the 6k of memory in the controller and stuff I thought it would be like you have your one avatar on there, etc...
Just seems crazy to have that many profiles on your system, unless it's some sort of friend system network online.

@ Sebastian: if the controller is anything like th DS, the game will warn you to save when the battery charge gets low. If you don't feel like buying new batteries all the time, get rechargable batteries. And if the remote were rechargable, you'd have to wait for it to charge before you could play it and that could probably be annoying but not really that big a deal. Either way, there are pros and cons.

Rudimentalist:My DS has a lithium ion battery. Is that going to explode? I still think it was a mistake that they didn't make the controller rechargable.Rechargable ion batteries are the norm now.Get with the times Nintendo! Also I expected the price to be $200 not $250.Nintendo said that was going to be the maximum that they were going to charge for the console and so they went ahead and did it.Seems like Nintendo would be the perfect console candidate to come with 2 SKUs. One with just the basics needed to play. The other with 2 controllers a game and a wii points card with a $50 dollar price difference between the two. Rant over,I'm sorry for taking up your time.

It's not bulky. I played a little SM64 at E3 this year and it controller pretty well. The only flaw I noticed was where the Z button was placed.

I think the Wii will launch in UK before or at the same time as US (late Oct, early Nov) for 150-170GBP with game included, and US 200USD with game as well.

Nintendo are giving Europe love at the moment with the black DS lite coming here first, hope i can get a black Wii to match!!
