Actually, "trucks" are the metal guys that the wheels attach to. Wheels are just wheels.

Very cool piece -- now I only hope the game is as good as they're saying.

being a member of the biggest tony hawk online community (now dead, go figure) this is rather amazing to see! we all figured back when that the game was dead, at least for the pro gamers. I guess some of use are still living on playing, but this game has been the least anticipated/expected game yet

I wonder how many balls it would take to map that guy's haircut.

Ah, Joystiq I can't get enough of your references to "the Uncanny Valley" it's such a great term, and it's a concept that hold's true. I remember how everyone talked about how good the characters look in Fight Night Round 3, and I thought they all looked goofy. If people can distinguish themselves from everyone else, how can a videogame make 6 billion different variables just in the face. While we may not be able to distinguish an alien, creating a life like human, is the last and hardest test in computer graphics.

THPS2 was the best and will always be the best game of the series. After that it started getting more and more unrealistic...

The graphics are very nice, the animations too, but the skateboard never look like it is really kicked or flipped by the feet. It still looks like the animation of a skater above the animation of the skateboard, it does not look like an unified entity. Hope they fix that.
