I've go a question. I haven't been all exited 'bout killzone cuz of the camera...I think it'll be kind of uncomfortable. Any comments on that?

I like ISO/overhead games far batter than FPS or over the shoulder titles. You can see more of what's around you without having to turn around, and while it's less "realistic" it lends itself much more to fast reaction and doesn't require the complex control scheme of an FPS.

I think this is a brilliant move for PSP developers. Get a little bit back to basics - games like Smash TV, Loaded and Steel Harbinger on the PS1 used overhead views to enhance this Robotron-esque 'kill everything around you' gameplay. It's a game style I think was long overdue for a revisiting and it seems to fit the Killzone environment very well.

I WANT THAT TANK.

It only took me five minutes to beat this level... hopefully this won't be like the final game....

The camera doesn't seem to effect game play at all well, at least in the demo. I'm in the full game it might get a bit strange with off screen enemies firing at you once in a while. But, I wouldn't say that it will kill the experience. I didn't notice the AI issue Chris was talking about (enemies firing the wrong way) but, they are pretty easy to take down. All in all a fine demo! I can't wait till it's released!

Also if you want to look through the rest of the demo screens I took they are up now...

Cool, I am gonna preorder it just for the demo. Does anyone know if there is a gameshare? If not, can your friend just pop the demo disc and play a game on the dock level?(if the full game is hosting it might not be limited to the first set of rules, apart from the level of course).

P.S.
Would be cool if there is a gameshare, since you can rip those now, and put them on your Memory Card, and play them off the OS on any frimware(or atleast 2.71).

Sweet! Also, when I do preorder it, it would be on the wya to get Saint's Row, wierd eh?(although i woul probably pcik upo infected too. Also check on the Wii preorder thing)

Wait a second... You PAID for the demo? It was free at my local EB Games (owned by Gamestop).

Game is fun, by the way - just started playing but I like the controls. Graphics are excellent.

God, Robotron? Way to take an old man back...

I agree, Syphon Filter is the closest we've come to a decently controlled FPS on the PSP, but you have to appreciate what they've done with this game. Rather than port another FPS to our lovely system with yet another shitty-to-half-decent single-analog control scheme (Miami Vice, anyone?), they developed a completely original game out of the Killzone mythos. That, my friends, means that some developers give a shit about our system. Rejoice.

I'm personally psyched. I can't wait to pick it up.

ooooook... you paid for a demo?

...yeah, and even Syphon Filter was largely a third-person-shooter. Miami Vice was okay, but yes, it was just a half-baked job.

Isometric view can work just fine, but it has to be done right. I am actually looking forward to this game, because the reviews of the demo generally offer positive endorsement for the isometric view.

No I didn't pay for the demo. I paid $5 to preorder the game, thus getting the demo for free. At Gamestop, you have to put down at least $5 for a preorder.

Good thing my screen shots covered up the horrible English in my last comment. The offending sentence should have read:

I'm thinking in the full game it might get a bit strange with off screen enemies firing at you once in a while.

@Chris: Glad you liked the screens.
