Oh, I dunno news of Amazon.com selling out their preorders ( http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2006/09/18/wii-pre-orders-snapped-up-on-amazon/ ) and the Nintendo World Store selling out all of theirs ( http://gonintendo.com/?p=5756 ), it should be fairly obvious.

With Nintendo saying that there will be plenty of Wii supply to go around, the places that have started preordering have already sold out, yeah, I think it's pretty obvious the Wii will be more than a contender, but a force to be reconned with.

Reconned? Conned again you say?! My word!
Seriously, all the selling-out makes me optimistic. Very optimistic. But at the same time, worried that my mum won't be able to find one for me come Christmas. :P Heck, I'll take success for Nintendo over getting my Wii right away, though. It's awesome to see them coming back into the spotlight.

Once again, I am soo glad that i live in a region where Nintendo is deemed worse than dog crap (its all about MS around here...)

Means i get first dibs on virtually everything
But the more i look, the more i see it, the Wii has the jump on the competition

Two reasons: 1, i actually here kids at school talking about the Wii, and with their connection with Ellen Degeneres and the central market in general
2. GAMING OUT OF THE BOX, That will make all the difference, i think, casual gamers will go ape for Wii sports, and having it in the package only sweetens the deal

Damnation, forgot to finish the sentence

They're connection with the Casual Market will be all the marketing they'll need (just like their four month silence captured our imaginations)

Do you know who Nintendo is selling the Wii to?

The Baby Boom generation of WWII, meaning grandma and grandpa. They are a very larger market. Plus, they have money, they get Social Security check every month.

So... if Nintendo could some how have games that appeals to that generation, then they will be a contender.
