Well if they follow their normal pricing we will probably end up being:

$170 - $200 = £90 - £105
+ 25% increase = £112 - £130

If i had to guess one price i'd say about £120 so that a premium 360 + the hd dvd addon would cost £400

Blasted Japanese...they never appriciate good values. Microsoft should made Japan wait for the 360, then they would have a better US/EU launch. At least we buy their system.

This would be a great add-on if they could us it for the games. Game developers are saying the added size of the blue-ray disc is giving them the ability to greatly expand the High-Def content. I haven't heard MS say anything about HD-DVD games.

Because Microsoft has explicitly said that they won't have HD-DVD games.

Period.

They don't want to segment the install base.

please god, let there be more than a few good games for the japanese market. your new package is great, but where are the bigger memory cards for the core? i hope you have a great time in Japan.
