First, a personal story. For the one year dating anniversary with my first girlfriend, I took her to a "Weird Al" concert, and we got to meet him after the show for autographs.

This was 10 years ago as of next month, and that girlfriend is my wife now.

But still, who takes their first girlfriend to a "Weird Al" show for an anniversary? Only the kind of people Al was singing about in this song (though I prefer "geek" to "nerd").

Also, given that you can manually edit your Minesweeper scores (I once gave myself a time of -8 seconds on Beginner), I don't take much stock in what people list as their best times, even with an accompanying screenshot.

Actually, I think the best part is that Chamillionaire is playing "White & Nerdy" on his MySpace page.

Erm, does anyone else think that the hoodied Al looks vaguely like Kevin Rose?

And I think it's bad that when he said he was fluent in Javascript, I thought "Oh, come on. JS is for script kiddies."

To 35, the "Don't Download This Song" is very much an ANTI- RIAA song. The video makes this clear.

Weird Al's most recent album, "Straight Outa Lynnwood" is a take off on the NWA album, "Straight Outa Compton". I found out through Mapquest that Lynnwood is directly north of Compton in the Los Angeles area.

Now, for a question ...

WHY did Weird Al ask Donnie Osmond to be in his video. Sure he's a funny dancer but is there some message behind his appearance or working with Weird Al that I am not picking up on?
