People just read what they want to read is not? No one but no ones not even Sony claimed that was something innovative and by the way it was actually an agreement between Folding@Home and SONY.
So to make clear all this there is nothing innovative about this and SONY never claimed that it was.
Geez.

Does this blog have to keep embedding videos from gamevideos.com? maybe it's just me but i've found the streaming of these videos appaling and there's no way of telling how much of the video is buffered and ready to play. The youtube videos are much better even if the quality is a bit lower.

What is power rangery about White Knight? Summoning really large creatures/spirits/whatever is a common theme. And it looked awesome, not cheesy.

Armored Core looks great but looks like it plays the same as all the rest...
Devil May cry looks like a prettier version of the PS2 games.
I liked Gundam but thought Armored Core was clearly better.
I'm sick of companies showing idiots waving around the Wii controller in vids. With that said, Bleach's trailer sucked. We get it. It's a motion sensor, just show us the damn game. As it was, I thought it looked too much like the PSP version.
Ninja Gaiden is hot. period.

Flow looks boring and touch to control.
Project sylpheed looks like a frantic arcade game, which means it could be awesome or it could be fun for no more than 10 minutes.
Afrika is...well its pretty, almost too photorealistic to even have a point. Also, no "gameplay" footage has been shown yet and, hell, no one really knows what comprises gameplay in the game.
Lair seemed underwhelming. Like a poorly controlled dogfighting game with a few gimmicks and you are on a dragon instead of in a plane. All of the dragons seemed to move more like helicopters or planes than like a living being that spews fire. The dragon hiacking thing was cool, but i got the impression that after watching that sequence a few times, I would get sick of it.
Sonic...um...sonic is much cooler than that kid.
Bleach could be the coolest thing ever or it could be completely broken; it will rule if it pulls off the crazy, over-the-top marvel-VS-capcom style fighting with precision on the Wii controller.
It will blow if it is possible to do the Wii version of button mashing (ie. whip the controller around real fast until cool shit happens). If the attacks are made far better with timing and precision, it will make the game worth learning and playing.
Ninja gaiden looks like Ninja Gaiden...I..uh...I just remembered how sweet that game is. Screw the rest of the videos, I goes plays it now. Bye.

Granted, there was no explicit statement that the folding@home project was innovative, but let me direct anybody not familiar to this article:
http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/fun.games/09/18/playstation.folding/index.html
The emphasis of my comment wasn't focused on this project, but more or less how this project and flOw are the only larger projects we've heard about that have anything to do with PS3's networking capabilities, yet at TGS the infastructure of the PNP (playstation networking platform) has not been explained.
I'm sure the system will have some great experiences, but it's not encouraging that games like Tony Hawk Project 8 are already slated to have online removed from the PS3 version...

I'm doing a text-only overview (with opinions, of course) of TGS 2006 at my site. Here's a link to TGS 2006: Day One
