Major Nelson has once again updated his blog with a convenient list of X06 additions to the Xbox Live marketplace. If you're in any way enamored with glitzy trailers, pre-rendered footage or relentless teasing, you'd best switch on your console and start downloading some of these clips:
Call of Duty 3
Banjo Kazooie
Marvel Ultimate Online
Viva Pinata
Assassin's Creed
Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Blue Dragon
Lost Odyssey
Bioshock
FIFA 07
Rainbow Six Vegas
Halo Wars
If you're a more traditional gamer and actually enjoy interactive forms of entertainment, you'll be pleased to learn that several of our readers have spied F.E.A.R. and Sonic the Hedgehog demos scurrying about in the marketplace. Be sure to let us know what you think of them, but not before viewing the embedded video (after the break) and answering one simple question: What the hell is going on with that nose?
God Damnit! Halo Wars looks freaking awesome! Halo Wars and Halo 3 will probably take about afew months out of my life. Unlike almost everybody else here I really didn't like the demo. TO me it was "Get This!" "Now get That!" "WOOPS! Kill that EASY enemy!" "Now go get this again!" Assassin's Creed looked pretty sweet. After seeing this pretty kick ass line up im pretty much definitly gonna buy a Xbox 360 AND A Wii if im lucky. I say screw the PS3, overpriced piece of mediocre shit I say. Besides think about it, the Xbox 360 is $400, the Wii maybe $200. Both of those for the price of one PS3, $600 dollars. It doesnt take a genius to figure out whats the better deal.
No, I'm pretty sure he meant the 4th BK game. No one really paid any attention to Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge (for GBA), though, so I'm not surprised you haven't heard of it.
Oh my Banjo-Kazooie... how I've missed you. I loved this game when I was a kid, and still love it. I know it was a collect-a-thon, but it was the quirky humor that gave it charm, not the quests.
I am so very, very sad that if I ever get to play it, it will be after a LONG time. I can only afford at most two consoles (probably just one), and I have to follow both Zelda and the FF series. Until now I had absolutely no regrets about leaving the Xbox alone. DAMN YOU, RARE!
NO! This isn't fair....How come the bastarding microsofters get the new banjo game even though all us nintendo fans have been waiting years for news. Rare, come back to who made you famous!
dangit people its not the second banjo kazooie game, and the sonic demo isn't that bad the only thing i hate is that it seems so frickin slow, and also they coulda done better on the targeting system
Banjo Kazooie on the 360 certainly sounds tempting. But I'm not really sure I'm all that optimistic about it, especially not if it's just a port of the game that I came to love almost 10 years ago. Making people pay $60 for a 10-year-old game with improved graphics is beyond ridiculous, it's gouging and dishonest. However, despite my usual hatred of ports, I am extremely excited about F.E.A.R. on the 360. My computer couldn't run it at a decent clip, so I didn't really get the full experience. The demo looked great and played smoothly, which has me pretty much sold when the game eventually comes out.
